Re: SWITZERLAND 2012

If I didnt know who Lys was (which I didnt until I read on the internet), I would think that the song is dated, boring, and that there are far better songs to choose from. I really think the song would flop at ESC, most people watching wouldnt realise or care who she was.

I also think that Ultra nate's song is quite dated, it would have done well in late 90s early 2000s, but there is nothing special about it.

I think with good stage craft and more production, the songs 'Lantern' and 'Water runs free' would do quite well.

I'm sure all the commentators will acknowledge who she is, but I wouldn't expect Lys to do very well if she gets to Baku. I just think it would be cool to have her there.

I love "Quand je ferme les yeux" by Sosofluo from the French selection. In general, I like the songs in the French broadcaster's selection better than the German broadcaster's selection.

Buket – Help
Celine - Look Up To The Stars
Daniel Piechota feat. Kristin Sóley - BY MY SIDE
Daria - An Affair
Didier Uwayo - Live it up

Re: SWITZERLAND 2012

Italian language broadcaster RSI has chosen all-local line up of the performers for their segment of the preselection. Live final will take place on 8th of November at Temus di Agno and will be broadcasted by La2 (TV) and Rete3 (Radio). RSI panel of experts has already confirmed 5 songs that will take part in the final, while 2 more candidates will be chosen by online voting among 16 shortlisted songs. The jury was composed of Mauro Ravarelli, musicologist, musician and music programming director of Rete Due, Nicola Albertoni, head of music department of Rete Tre, and Gian Luca Verga, head of Events, Music and Entertainment department.
Online voting starts October 10. Live RSI final of 7 songs will take place on November 8 and 2 winners will be chosen through televoting.

Already chosen:
Gianluca Solci - Giro intorno
Rossella - Here i am
Scilla - Masquerade
Sinplus - Unbreakable
Vittoria Hyde - It's your love

To vote:
Hirion - Tu sei qui con me
Goodstock - Then Fly
William Red Rossi - Come le ciliegie in pieno inverno
Alex Ramy - Jolie Jolie Jolie baby
Barbara Berta - L'assenza
Rino dilugano - Questo mondo
Veronica - And then i miss you
Mamo Belleno - Crazy for you
Laetitia - The big picture
Chiara Dubey - Anima nuova
Mirella Schisano - All i need
Dj Skaly - Moonflower
Marco Urzi - La nuova era
Flavio Cristilli - Ancora uno sbaglio
Cloe - The end
Griso - Nel mio centro non c'entro
Romanz - For you

Among already chosen songs I like "Masquerade" the best (7/10), but I can't see it winning Swiss NF. My ranking:

1. Scilla - Masquerade = 7/10
2. Sinplus - Unbreakable = 6/10
3. Rosella - Here I am = 5.5/10
4. Vittoria Hyde - It's your love = 4.5/10
5. Gianluca Solci - Giro intorno = 3.5/10

Nothing special so far... I'll listen to other songs (which are still up for the voting) soon. :D

DRS3 presented its 3 songs for the NF:

My ranking:
1. Patric Scott feat. Fabienne Louves - Real love: Nice duet! I like this song.
2. Atomic Angel - Black Symphony: Better than McLoud, but not as good as "Real love"
3. Guillermo Sorya - Baby baby baby: A quite nice refrain, but the rest of the song is average.

Disqualified:
Sara McLoud - Lost: I don´t really like it. There are better songs for Eurovision.

My ranking of DRS3 songs:

1. Patric Scott feat. Fabienne Louves - Real love: I love duets and I really like this song. It has some space for improvements and I personally believe that it could even win a NF. = 9/10
2. Guillermo Soya - Baby baby baby: Nice, funky song with a good chorus. The video is very good too. :D = 6.5/10
3. Atomic Angels - Black symphony: I don't like this one. It's too forgettable and not my cup of tea. = 5/10

Re: SWITZERLAND 2012

"Real Love" reminds me a bit of "Running Scared" but I like "Real Love" much more. I agree that this has the potential to do win the NF.

"Baby Baby Baby" is fun and very 80's. I like it more than than "Real Love" but I doubt that it will do well in ESC if it were to win the NF.

I didn't like "Black Symphony" at all.
