I completely agree that Sweden winning again would be lame.

BUT...!

...how could i be mad if i can't think of a swedish entry after 2015 that sounds as good to me as "Revolution". The closest one would be "Hold Me Closer" xcheers

Revolution is quite simply epic and Mäns charisma does the rest. It will easily smash all competition to pieces.
You're in for another easy landslide victory Sweden, confirming this country as possessing the best Eurovision craftsmanship.
As always, nothing is left to chance 🏆

Yeah, with all the hate Revolution is getting, I'm more and more convinced that the average ESC fan is more influenced by narrative then the actual song.

It's not my thing, it's pretty vanilla, but damn, if any other country other then Sweden had this in the running and it wasn't a returning winner who isn't that well liked for some reason - this package would have been praised to high heavens.
i agree with you, if this wasnt sweden and not a returning artist, this would most likely get more praise, especially for the staging. not sure about the song.
the last 10 / 15 seconds are really amazing imo, but there is not that much artistic quality in the song imo, and the polished perfection is something that has become a bit off putting. fascinating and impressive, but not that loveable.
so yea sweden may have to deal with some criticism that others countries don't have to deal with

Kaj is also very good. It is immensely fun and builds surprisingly. It would be a novel entry, but a great one for a change - yes, I'm thinking of you cashy boy!
Furthermore, it would be daring of the Swedes to have something in their native tongue for a change, Europe would be open mouthed 😮
Having said that, I don't think it would win Eurovision, whereas Mäns will for sure.

I'm becoming afraid of KAJ!! 🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭
Why I have to choose this year to watch live MF final, to be afraid in Arena.. 😰
I will be pissed as hell if that happens... It will be the WORST Swedish entry EVER..

Both the song and staging are extremely basic and dated, for me Sweden somehow could send songs more dated than songs from 2010s years after years and doing well in the scoreboard is beyond me.

hm i personally wouldnt call the staging dated nor basic, and especially the climax towards the end is quite a moment.

The staging basically screams Applause by Lady Gaga, then water down, then water down, then water down, then water down......
But it could also means me getting spoilt by Chinese music reality TV show staging, those are way superior than Melfest or even ESC.

For that HORROR to win, I wouldn't survive this...I am waiting for way too many years to attend MF final live (I like MF more than ESC) to be served there with victory pf KAJ.. 😭

You can't understand that... It is different situation with me and MF and attending the final of it live.. I would have to explain a bit more, and not sure if it is appropriate for here... 😉

I may be alone in this, but for me it sounded like Måns said to himself:
"I'll do the same sort of song as I did 10 years ago, but it's OK if it's not as good. If Loreen can get away with what she did, well so can I!"
Sure, he does a good job singing it, but the melody is… well, basic and so are the (cringy) lyrics.
I'd much rather see KAJ winning the whole thing.

I'm sorry, but Luxembourg who did poor is trying with similar stuff after come back, year after year, and we are speaking about Swedish ESC winners copying themselves.. I'm really sorry..

If Revolution was sent by Denmark it would been massively hated yet since it's sung by Mans it's seen as Eurovision winner.

The song is more plastic than IKEA. It's hyped just because it's Mans

Yeah count me as a soft B-cubed defender. What it reminds me most of isn't the horde of joke entries we've gotten in past years but a musical theatre opening number, along the lines of "Corn" from Shucked or "Welcome to the Renaissance" from Something Rotten. What a production the whole thing is!

By the way, "Bara bada bastu" is short enough that they can add a 4-bar, about 10-second dance break a la "Solo", without removing anything. If it wins, it could be Sweden's first ever revamp.

Do I think that 'Revolution' would be a great winner of Eurovision 2025? No, absolutely not.

Can I mention other entries so far that would be better winners of Eurovision 2025? Not really ...

Albania, Finland, Greece, - hell even Montenegro.
I would love to get something "more unique", "different", something which tells the listeners that it's a Eurovision winning entry (and not a dated Westernised pop song performed in English).
Sometimes we get the artsy-fartsy stuff - I know it's rare - but we got Portugal 2017, Italy 2021, Ukraine 2016+2022.
I would love to not get another bland radio-friendly pop song as a winner.

I just wish the pop-loving "former ESC participants" would be more eager to vote differently in Eurovision.
