I agree with Looren that the final turned out not too bad (a bit sad about Wiktoria Not being there at all). Still, this Melfest years was rather disappointing. I want the prime years of 2016 for example back.

1. Loreen 10/10
2. Marcus and Martinus 9/10
3. Smash Into Pieces 8,25/10
4. Tone 8/10
5. Mariette 7,75/10
6. Panetoz 7/10
7. Kiana 7/10
8. Paul Rey 7/10
9. Nordman 6,75/10
10. Theoz 6,5/10
11. Maria Sur 5,5/10
12. Jon Hendrik 5/10

Loreen is pretty much the only actually good song of this year's MF tbh (and it's pretty good, as expected, not Euphoria level but still a competent quality Pop song with one of the best vocals I know).

... and yes I had a little soft spot for Signe & Hjördis too but didn't expect anything out from that. Nordman is decent too.

I'd predict Kiana, Mariette, Nordman and Theoz go to the final.
Ofc, hoping for Victor Crone, but that's just because I'm Estonian :D His song is unfortunately quite meh.
Well, one of the few times I get a prediction 100% right

My prediction:

1. Drottning Loreen (let's face it, she is in a league of her own this year. Those live vocals...damn)
2. Marcus Martinez (meh song for me, very popular with seemingly everybody else)
3. Angry guys dressed in black singing about being burried and named themselves after breaking stuff (I'm so over these estetics but this genre is massive in Sweden)
4. Nordman (huge fanbase)
5. Fjäll-Henrik Jonsson (another huge fanbase)
6. Panetoz (my favourite)
7. Theoz (kids favourite)
8. Kiana (will be a club hit)
9. Maria Sur (not bad but competition is fierce)
10. Tone Sekelius (better than last year)
11. Mariette (her worst entry)
12. Paul Rey (his worst entry)

02 Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North feat. Adam Woods - Where You Are (Sávežan) 10/10
03 Maria Sur – Never Give Up 9/10
04 Tone Sekelius - Rhythm Of My Show 9/10
05 Smash Into Pieces – Six Feet Under 8/10
06 Panetoz – On my way 8/10
07 Marcus & Martinus – Air 8/10
08 Nordman – Släpp alla sorger 8/10
09 Loreen – Tattoo 6/10
10 Paul Rey – Royals 6/10
11 Theoz – Mer av dig 4/10
12 Mariette – One Day 4/10

I think i'm the only one how didn't understand the Loreen hype. This is a strong final, it's sad to see all others except Loreen have no chances to win. Loreen will win this, so this will be boring MF Final outcome, she will also win in May. Sweden next year again....i don't understand it.

You don't understand it yet you think she will win whole Eurovision? I'm slightly confused xshrug

Like I get that taste differs, and the people overhyping it are well, overhyping it for sure, but seeing all these downratings (especially in such a weak MF year) and all the talks about how "bad and forgettable" her entry apparently is comes across as pretty contrived at times... not saying it's the case with you, but just a general impression I get.

It's really damned if we do - damned if we don't for Sweden, if we send a strong entry that could win people will hate on it, if we send a weak entry... well people will trash it  xshrug

I do agree that Tattoo is no Euphoria (not that it matters really because it's not competing in that edition so rather more relevant what competition it is up against), but I can't really take some of the criticism seriously, some of it seems pretty petty tbh (even before anything is even clear, there is nothing saying she will win Eurovision again so I think it's a bit funny you talk about others overhyping when predicting it as a winner already, even before winning MF, is by default overhyping lol...).

My main concern is not if Loreen will win Eurovision again, but that MF is so weak but still manages to produce like a good winner for Eurovision again and then SVT thinks that they can get away with that for the next year. Sure, in terms of Eurovision context whether MF as a whole is weak doesn't really matter as long as we send a strong enough entry, but for fans of MF it is sad because the selection really needs a total remake but if we continue be successful in Eurovision (or even win) then that remake will never happen and SVT will claim that all is good since we succeed in Eurovision... I for one would like a strong MF again where at least 10 entries are good enough and not just one. I would love if there was more proper competition and not like 30 bad songs and just a couple of good ones with 1 apparent stand-out, that's not a good grade for MF really (unless again if one only thinks about the Eurovision outcome).

I wish we would cancell the Andra Chansen/semi whatever they will call it. Just let three songs from each qualification heat go directly to the final without revealing which of them won the heat. That way we could get a final that is a wee bit less predictable at least.

I'm still not that sure with Loreen winning Eurovision that easily.

One major complain that I'll havr is that, "Tattoo" feels like an AI prompt try of recreating a Melfest winner out of recent past winners. Imagine Loreen and another "Euphoria" but with some "Too Late For Love" and "Hold Me Closer", and add a little of "Voices" belting in it. There you go, you got "Tattoo".

Loreen winning Melfest is possible, but I can't say the same with winning Eurovision (yet). I can see "Tattoo" being set aside a little for fresher and more exciting sounds of other entries, we have a lot of them in this season.

:de: Germany
:at: Austria

A bit shocked (and delighted) that there aren't any Nordic countries in it

Loreen`s stage presence is truly immaculate. Really lifts the song to another level. Still feel like the chorus could be a little stronger BUT if Sweden chooses her, they are definitely in it to win it. The amounts of salt in this very forum would be glorious. xheat

Finally a german Jury.
We were responsible for Sannas Victory in 2014.
Not to forget that we gave 12 Points to Benjamin (Final + Semifinal) and 12 Points to Tusse (Semifinal).

See, this is what I don’t like.
Only because some of us don’t like the song or the performance or even Loreen it doesn’t mean we are salty!
I couldn’t care less! In fact I do expect Loreen to win ESC!

Who else does have a chance? Loreen is pandered to the max. She‘s courted. It’s a fact. She has lots of fans, she‘s known at Eurovision. Producers know this. She‘s the formula to success.

Do I think she deserves it? No. But then again, many winners didn’t deserve victory in the past in my opinion. She‘s not the first. I‘ve already accepted the fact she‘s gonna win. No salt.

People with such accusations come across as very snobbish! As if anyone who doesn’t like Tattoo is gonna get salty only because we dare to criticize. So here we are again. People can’t stop making digs at those who are not a fan of Tattoo. It’s getting ridiculous.

Mostly we have an original winner song. When it's too predictable like in 2013 or 2015, I don't bother watching
