Kiana doing that well was not something i predicted at all... i thought the performance was really bad, in every way, but obviously people liked something about it.
Smash Into Pieces disappointed me, i hoped for something more Outtrigger-like instead of this stereotypical MF-metal, but i guess it was good enough to DTF.
Then to the big thing, Loreen and her interruption, of course. Is this actually the first time in modern MF history a song has been interrupted? I doubt they would have done it if it was a "lesser artist", whatever the problem was. Anyway, the song isn't all that great and really a bit too mainstream pop for her, it felt like they did an "artsy" staging to compensate for the impersonal and forgettable song.
Mariette said nothing at all to me, it wasn't even lousy, but totally forgettable. I wanted Axel Schylström to make it instead, his song was the best second to Loreen's and the vocals were pretty much the best of the night, he was below Mariette by only one point!
Signe & Hjördis felt like Nordman's untalented daughters, really among the most shoddy and amateurish entries we've heard in years. Emil i kinda liked, just because it was so unashamedly Mello-schlager-kitschy, he did it so wholeheartedly in a way you just can't make fun of, but the vocals really weren't good. In fact that was a common problem for the entries in this heat....
So what do i think now that we've heard all the entries? Loreen can definitely win but i don't think it's all that sure, the strong contenders are M&M and Jon Henrik, who most people seem to leave out for some reason. I think this can really be his chance to win after all his tries. Either of them would be an okay choice i guess, but we're not gonna be anywhere near winning ESC this year, i think we can hope for top 5.
