That version at least had a better vocal than some of her other live performances where she only did a strong vocal during the chorus, in my opinion. Maybe mixing was to blame but it came across to me as too mumbly.

In my opinion, Hold Me Closer is a good song and would make a worthy winner.

Sweden has been getting a lot of criticism for focusing on a certain type of music, getting favoritism from juries and so on. Probably people want something more daring from a country with a powerful music industry, but a chunk of that criticism was certainly fuelled by Sweden's success in Eurovision. But facing the facts, Sweden is also a very good host country, so if it wins we can expect a great show.

Thinking about it, if Cornelia wins it means is a lucky charm for .

She has such a wonderful raspy voice. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a good place - I wouldn't mind seeing her winning! Who would have thought me ever saying this?

This song gets a bit dated after few listenings. It's not even in my top 20 of melodifestivalen. I prefer Loreen Euphoria, Eric sade popular, in las Vegas, Charlotte Nielsen, Mariette Million years, Mariette another song of hers, that latin daddy song, that guy who yoiked, Malena ernman.

Like literally Sweden is this year way too overhyped by fandom. Do you have your own opinion or you go what general fandom goes with. Sweden will finish in top 10 for sure, but the song really gets boring after some time, even when I'm listening to it, I'm bored.

I want to be very clear about the fact that I don't want to see Sweden win ever again in my lifetime. 7 victories is way too much for all the mediocrity and blandness they sent so far. Besides Waterloo and Euphoria, I can't find any Swedish winner that I respect at all and their victories feel like robberies. Killing the competition with blandness.

I was even happy in 2019 when John Lundvik lost the televote, although I binged the song like blueberry cheesecake. Bulletproof, As I Lay Me Down, everything from Jon Fjällgren and John Lundvik is on my everlasting playlist.

But now this, Hold me Closer. It's not that I really don't want to see Sweden win, I really find this song atrocious.

In my carpool karaoke today, I really tried to last through this song, that I usually skip and try to be as friendly and open to this song as I possibly could, but I utterly failed. I don't find any pleasant moment in this song. The grating voice, the mid section loses me completely and towards the end, where it aims to create a bombastic moment, the melody is just off for me.

Why Sweden is treated so extra, is beyond me. I believe in corruption and riggory, which doesn't only include the actual voting, but all the build-up beforehand, and I guess, that's why they could end up winning. Not to mention the fact, they run the EBU now.
Why all of a sudden does WWB get the priority pass to the press centre and is at the same time over the moon for this song. William was not coy to s Swedish entries to pieces in the past.

I also think it's not great for the contest going forward to always have a Sweden vs Italy battle for the crown. Italy is naturally gifted with greatness, Sweden isn't. All the other countries end up being sidelined.

Shouldnt the song have gone higher in the charts before winning if you think it will go so big in european charts?
The same actually happened on spotify, although Cornelia managed to climb to the second place among the contestants (behind Klara) in the last 3-4 days before the final.. then after winning the final her streaming numbers exploded..
