Jon-Henrik and Aninia were my absolute favourites in 2017!!! xlove And I also think now after the devastating televoting result is the right time to try something different, at least once... (I mean you were still pretty successful due to the juries but you know what I mean)

Come on, just cause Anna Bergendahl flopped ( xcry - my fave Swedish entry ever) it doesn't mean you have to send generic pop sogs every year! Send a rock/indie band!

I would like to see some up and coming pop girl represent us, maybe Rhys, Amanda Winberg (who goes under the name AMWIN now), Lisa Ajax or Wiktoria (even if the last two isn't that up and coming, but they're young and would probably do Melfest again with a winner song). It get why many of you want us to try another genre, but right now I just can't see that happening. In order for that to happen there have to be some major change like jury influence in the semis or something xshrug

Maybe something that actually feels Swedish? Sweden got a kick in the teeth this year, but can they learn from it, or is MF going to be another mediocre pop-fest again?

I hope Sweden keeps sending modern, englishlanguaged, chart- and radiofriendly Popsongs with expensive Stagings like the last few years.

Re: SWEDEN 2019

Please, let it be girl next year, with some emotinonal song like Undo from Sanna Nielsen. Something like that, public always prefer emotion over cold pop from Robin and Benjamin. :)

Re: SWEDEN 2019

Two wishes for next year´s Melodifestivalen:
1) Better songs - Regarding the songs, MF 2018 for me was one of the weakest years so far
2) At least decrease the influence of the App - I know, this won´t happen, but because of the free App-voting and therefore the narrow results of the Public Vote, international Jury got too much influence in recent years.

Re: SWEDEN 2019

Wiktoria please
And a return and direkt till final for Alice Svensson and Mimi Werner

Otherwise - something not so plastic as Dance You Off or smug as I Can't Go On
OR something Swedish

Re: SWEDEN 2019

I’ll make two bold predictions:
-MF winner will be a dark-haired guy in his 20’s with a visual gimmick.
-The only songs in Swedish to make it to the final will be joke entries (dansband, Samir & Viktor, Sean Banan, random old guy...)

Sounds like MF of the past years xcry

Fangirls voting en masse for some former Idol contestant, and SVT purposely choosing only joke entries or entries with no appeal or chance in Swedish xshrug

I'm pretty sure the hate against Sweden has already started even before the artist and the song is chosen...?

There is no hate against Sweden. Only a dislike if the song is not good enough. Maybe Sweden will send a good song again!

No hate against Sweden? I guess you have lived under a rock for the last years...

And as said "not like" a song is not a reason to spread hate the way we have seen this year.

Even if we would send Zara Larsson or Loreen next year with world hit we would still get the usual hate from ESC fans...

You seem so wrapped up in your hate-theory, so I will let you be there. I don''t care, poor sacrifice.
