his face was something, very hard but he was the last to receive points and it would have happened with Austria last year. This format will make those kind of situations happen often from year to year unfortunately.

It's kinda harsh to be honest but very "real-tv" sensationalism oriented.

A very good question, I guess Christer and the other in the Melodifestivalen crew really need to figure out a way to get some view in from general people across the globe, the IJ-format works when it comes to score high with the juries.

This is a very good question and I really don´t see a good answer to it more then that we are doomed until we send something that is different and stands out

Preuss: I guess many Sweden-haters will use that as GIF from now on

We need to send crap for five years or so, and then when we finally send a good song again people might vote for us. The televoters don't like the same countries being on top year after year.

I´m actually very happy, my stomach feeling was that we would score way lower, I did use a calculator this time and when I saw that it was only about 400p to give out with :se:, :mk: and :nl: left, I knew that we did worse in the televote yet again

True, actually. And winning the jury vote is a victory in itself. I'd say the jury winner gets way more screen-time and with the new televoting point revealing system, it didn't give off a "loser" vibe at all. Most viewers probably think he ended second.

Televoters are smart and they are sick of watching JURIES place Sweden first every year with mediocre songs.

I think the problem here is that the televoters are tired of Swedens artificial Eurovision pop...

I felt his pain when he heard 93 points. That new voting is too harsh. I don't like it.

I genuinely feel bad for him, in that final moment and then getting plastered with 93 points and not winning. Still a great result for Sweden, but you could see instantly how deflated and taken aback he was.

Of course, but it would have been even more harder if it had been in place last year

Last year, Sweden and Austria would have been the last two countries standing. Sweden would have been exposed more to shame last year already with the new system, because Benjamin's face would have been in full focus. Israel was leading and Sweden would have needed like 250something points. Imagine the drama.

We didn't deserve our top ten placings in 2017 and 2018, in my opinion. Definitely overrated by the juries. But this year was different for me. This was actually a song that felt like a genuine, real song. It was different from anything we'd ever sent and this was the first time since 2010 that I truly loved our entry. Who's to say that the juries didn't feel the same? Is it possible they overrated us yet again? Of course. Does it have to be so, only because they've done it before? Not necessarily. But I suppose it's a case of Crying Wolf.

No, they're actually quite stupid and constantly vote for joke entries. Which was why the juries needed to be reintroduced to save the show.

He still managed top 10 in the televote but the way it was presented made it seem like it was lower than it actual was

When "joke entries" are way better than your pretentious ubercrafted entries, there is obviously a problem and it's not the public.

This entry was overhyped from the start, remember that MF voting? Lmao.

"We are the winners of the Eurovision" .... Came in 6th place in 2006...
The jury voting began in 2009.
