Re: SWEDEN 2014

Don't really care about the language. If a song is good, then It's good. I wouldn't want to see things regress back to some ethno contest though. 3 things I would do.

1. Ditch Bjorkman.
2. End Andra Chansen
3. Remove the international juries. It should be a Swedish choice.

As for who takes part, I want to see Yohio back with a heavier song to see how he can do. But we shall see. Wouldn't mind seeing Martin Rolinski either.

Will they allow Yohio sing in Japanese? he sounds better in Japanese than English.....not sure if he can sing in Swedish.

A great idea! Will boost the song somewhat but of course lower his chances for the absolute top IMO.

Great debut, surely want to hear more of Felicia Olsson in Melodifestivalen.

Sure they will. But then again, japanese will be another way for him to attract some interest. First his appearance, now the japanese. I mean he already used japanese (and totally failed) during the voting. Like anyone understood him or even cared!

Re: SWEDEN 2014

It's just flowing new artists in Sweden. Every week there seem to pop up a new one. Who is taking care of all these talented hopefuls? Surely a few at least would take their way through Melodifestivalen? One of these that caught my attention is iida. Not really in my taste direction, but her voice is just fantastic and the music captivating.

Wouldn't surprise me, she's got Eva Hamilton's tongue so up in her arse it's not even funny any more... xpuke

Her entry was an annoying weak wailing attempt at copying Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" in the disguise of a Christina Aguilera-type ballad... I don't think she added much to the selection really tbh xshrug

Maybe with a stronger song... but I don't see anything interesting in this artist... typical "The Voice" type of participant without the looks, persona or substance to be even remotely interesting.

Re: SWEDEN 2014

Strongly disagree on both comments.

I would love to see a serious artist attempt by Gina. :D She's actually quite good at singing you know, although miles from Loreen and the likes. I guess she's pondering real hard how to combine her skills into an artist profile that would hit. Well, we'll see.

I was so happy it went so well for Felicia Olsson. I thought she performed the nice soul song with passion, honesty and confidence. OK, it was a bit on the amateurish side but I enjoyed it more than many other songs in the final. xheart

Well, I won't even say anything more on SVT's political protege than I've already said, it's not worth giving her more time and space... I know you like her though so I'll leave it with that.

Well, yes Felicia's song was probably better than some in the final, but still a weak song and yep... pretty much amateur-ish. Some may have the conventional voices, but nothing else... she seems like one of those types.

Re: SWEDEN 2014

Not Yohio please, he's too weird :?

He's not weird, he is just acting weird... the song was anything but weird... dated clichéd and quite frankly boring schlager-rock with a weak performance (both vocally and generally speaking) xshrug

Re: SWEDEN 2014

^^ I kind of agree, but he's still the real star this year together with one non-contestant.
It really doesn't matter the song was bad, he was interesting in Melodifestivalen, he's interesting right now and he will be interesting next Melodifestival as well. After that he may have to start deliver. :D
