LalehForWD Well I can understad that they shut the show down during the year we hosted.

But that it should affect the voting results? It seems absurd. How did they find that out? Is there a direct correlation between Swedish/Nordic voting results and the scores of "Inför ESC"? :?

I'm not sure that it was actually proved, but AFAIU it was widely believed to affect the general Swedish attitude towards some songs. I mean it's easily understood that if a song was dissed in the program, it was dissed in the Swedish homes as well - at least at first and to some degree. And despite even if everyone knew that the comments were only for fun. I guess we will never see something like it again (unfortunately).

And here is her own YouTube-version (in the series Sanna Nielsen - My way to Eurovision) :D

OMG I've never laughed so hard when Christer faked that he was upset

And you can hear Sanna's sad in her voice XD

Really? What is his ideas for changing it?

I thought it was pretty clear I didn't mean he openly commented about it, it just dawned to me that he has a tremendous amount of experience from running After Dark like for ever. He did express clear views about Melodifestivalen and he is a creative person, so there you have the connection. It's obviously only a personal reflection from me. Also I didn't say he should change it - far from everybody are unhappy with the current Melodifestivalen format. To be viable the idea will of course need continuous development, but personally I wouldn't be happy with any radical changes as some people advocates.

Another candidate is of course Edward af Sillén. My theory is that Christer Björkman will move on to EBU and this will happen pretty soon. Maybe he can combine the two roles but at some point I guess he need to stay unbiased to succeed at EBU. The question is: Who can fill his coat in Melodifestivalen?

If anything, i think they would want to get MF away from the "gay reputation" it has and become even more mainstream, so it seems unlikely to me.

Honestly, the "gay reputation" doesn't bother me a bit and I'm not gay myself. I don't think many Swedes reflects over the fact that there are many gay people involved in Melodifestivalen (if it really is a fact that is). To me it's a totally irrelevant question - sorry.

I didn't have any favourite in Mello this year. But when it was down to Ace or Sanna, I voted furiously for Ace. Her indifference truly was something. Sanna on the other hand is more mello-classical, that is - not really me anymore - but I voted with even more intensity for Empty Room back then, so she is definitely worth this redressing. Yeah, I'm glad she won. And according to bookies we might even have a shot.

P.s. To sum up: Go Sanna! And sorry for lagging a couple of months.

Here Sanna gives a go at POP - I completely missed this, sorry if it has been up before. To me it sounds very un-Sanna! :D I'm not that familiar with her songs though. Anyway I think this is a very interesting direction. :)

I don't know... I try to be realistic even though I'm swedish and like the song, but I can't imagine us winning this year. I think juries will prefer Armenia, UK and Hungary for example, and televoting I think Armenia, Ukraine and UK will place better than us... But I hope we can beat one of those countries in each televoting and jury voting so we will end up in top 3 or 5 or something like that :D

I don't understand why Armenia, Ukraine and UK are ranked so hight amongst the bookmakers. But maybe they have another taste of music than I have :D Sanna will do a great job, and for me, her song is much better than the song of Armenia, Ukraine or the UK. Lycka till, Sanna och Sverige! xlove

The choir gave me chills. They've really lifted the song.
