Rudimental are now outselling Loreen 10 to 7 in the UK but she's still comfortably at #2

She's promoted by hearsay only in Britain, as I can understand. There is very little written about Eurovision and nothing about Loreen in the British news.:(

I think she will be cool and finally finish her album first, before any further actions. It's going to be super high expectations on that album. There's a small tour planned with a ~30 minutes show this summer. Anyway, People who bought Euphoria will likely be interested again.

I don't get the comment though - marketing budget??

They're basically just saying that Rudimental have had a lot of record label promotion which has pushed them to the top spot, I think. As you've mentioned yourself, Loreen got to #1 in 24 hours down to hearsay alone, which in the UK for a Eurovision entry is incredibly impressive

So, if I understand you right, the record company is supporting a position by giving away downloads in promotion (or buying themselves)? I didn't know that, but it's not surprising since it's excellent (and cheap) marketing. Pure gold for Apple as well.

First time since 1982 this has happened, apparently. You go, Loreen!

Loreen is going to be on BBC Breakfast in about 15 minutes' time. This is really exciting. I've never seen an overseas Eurovision winner interviewed on British tv.
