I so.... agree with you. I normally never listen to the songs before the semifinals but this year I listen to all the songs except Sweden, and can you believe it, they are so boring

Sorry, we aren't the same person. And what's the big deal? I'm just saying that this song doesn't appeal to me, I loved the Belgian one instead, which most people bashed. I'm not going to listen to the second semi before tonight, but just saying, from the first semi - Greece, Cyprus, Belgium, Finland, Israel, Latvia, Iceland and Romania were better than the Swedish song to my taste.

Much better that her rehearsals before and the outfit is very good instead of that in the rehearsals!
I liked it more in the national semi-final, but it's close, her vocals are not strong as usual, but still brilliant. What did she do with her hair? Is it red or is it the lightning?!?!?!

Why do people keep forgetting about the juries, which wield 50% of the powers? The juries will never in a million years support Russia. Russia will be lucky to even get into the Top 5 with the juries snubbing them out of the Top 10 or even the Top 15. Even if the grannies win the televote, the jury snubs will cost them the victory... and rightfully so.

I was so afraid the crew would botch Loreen's camera angles as well, but this is very promising. I guess the semi-final #1 entrants were just really bad at working out good camera angles.

Kate Ryan had shoddy vocals and a weak song ("Shut the Door" isn't really that memorable after only one round), plus her choreography was possibly a bit too "high brow" for people to take to.
Also, "overrated songs" never win? Song declared "obvious winners" never win? Like, oh, Norway 2009 ("Fairytale") or Germany 2010 ("Satellite")? "Fly on the Wings of Love" (Denmark 2010), "Wild Dances" (Ukraine 2004), "My Number One" (Greece 2005), "Molitva" (Serbia 2007) and "Believe" (Russia 2008) were all major favourites prior to the contest as well. By "never", you must mean "often".
