Its just unbelievable what all happened because of Crystal Hall :(
I'm in a bad position. I'm againts to all of that, what happened and I'm also fan of ESC. I'm sure there were some other places, where to held the contest.

I think it's a brilliant move by Loreen, using the time she gets in the spotlight to focus on real things. Hopefully these people will get some attention now and protection when all the ESC cirkus has left Baku. xkiss

BTW, she's looking good! She's shining. xheart

I take my hat off to Loreen though for doing this about human rights. I have only admiration for her for that.

Keep in mind that Greece beating Sweden in total points isn't necessarily an indictment that Greece will win over Sweden but possibly merely an indication of that Greece has much less competition in its semi-final than Sweden.

Either Loreen or Babushkas will win.

^ Based on last night I think Babushkas will win...from what I saw they seemed to blow the roof off in that arena. I know a lot of non-ESC fans who voted for them just for taking the piss on ESC. It's got the Lordi-effect in a different package this time. Plus, they know how to start a party and that might as well be the kind of winner ESC needs after years of rather dull winners (mostly).

I'll go the opposite way and say if the babushkas win it will kill this any seriousness this contest have. And again, they will get zip from the juries exactly nada bc that's why the juries were reinstated to stop acts like them and that crazy ukrainian back in 2007.

Usually I'm against spoilers, so I don't listen to songs until the contest begins. However, I decided to listen to this one, just because it has over 400 posts about it and how it said to be a "candidate for winning".
And seriously... this song is boring and it doesn't appeal to me at all.

I that case it must be some ignorant low-life opportunists (e.g. DF, DNSB). If you look into the symbolism of the Udmurtian ladies in a historic and modern point of view, you will end up with pretty gruesome images. The strong Metal community in Sweden which is in general ESC-indifferent, actually outspoken supported Loreen in Melodifestivalen. I think the ladies will get some casual support for being "cute" besides the usual pro-Russian votes.

As much as I'd like Sweden to win this, I think Loreen will have to be beyond amazing to counter the cuteness effect of the Grannies. Not so sure about a victory right now.

I doubt grannies have the juries on their side, so as long Loreen will manage to win (or at least top. 3) with juries and atleast a top. 3 with televotes... then I don't see grannies being a threat even if they win the televotes... which I currently think they will.
