I like Jessica Andersson's and Ola's songs from the 1st semi. My mind is on the 3rd semi though. ;)

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

My opinions on the songs (points from 0-5)! :D

1. "Unstoppable" Ola 3p
I really like the verses with the piano, but the chorus is a bit complicated for me. Still a good pop song, and should definitly be top 4 in this semi! :)

2. "A Place To Stay" Jenny Silver 1p
Boring.....Where is the chorus? Way too weak for being in MF I think. Has a good melody, but absolutely not more. I think it'll be last.

3. "You're Making Me Hot-hot-hot" Linda Pritchard 3p
A good International sound in this song, but even this chorus is a bit too much for me. Linda is a good singer, and despite the speed in the song, the song really shows. It could grow on me live, and could suprisingly battle for a place in the top 4! :D

4. "Road Salt" Pain of Salvation 4p
An amazing ballad that just stops the whole world...in a same way that Marie Lindberg did in MF 2007. Great song and emotional....CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS TOMORROW! :D

5. "The Saviour" Anders Ekborg 3p
Everything sounds cool and pretty good until the chorus..."Il Salvatooooooreeee..."
It already sounds like a classic entry in MF! A mix between La Voix and I Love Europe!
Anders is a professional actor and musical singer...but I don't know if he is just joking with this song? :?
Could still go through to the final!

6. "I Did It For Love" Jessica Andersson 2p
Swedish newspapers have been writing about Jessica trying to copy EVERYTHING from Sanna Nielsen's "Empty Room". From preformance, to song, to history (Sanna had "ER" on her 5th try...this year it is the 5th for Jessica..)
The song does sound like a extremly weak copy of the marvelous song...and is too Schlagerish for me.
Still has a chance though, but I don't know if it's enough...

7. "Singel" Frispråkarn 1p
Could have worked very well with a much better chorus....Still not that awful. Expected worser to be honest..but together with Jenny Silver, this has no chance I believe.

8. "Keep On Walking" Salem Al Fakir 4p
This is very unSchlagerish for a country like Sweden! Still the song is easy to remember and has a good chorus! :D
GOOD JOB SALEM! You will get my vote tomorrow! ;)

The results I want tomorrow is:

Final: Pain of Salvation and Salem al Fakir
AC: Ola and Linda Pritchard
5. Anders Ekborg
6. Jessica Andersson
7. Frispråkarn
8. Jenny Silver

6. Jessica Andersson – I Did It For Love 7/10 sounds okay

Sanna's song was the best in 2008! :) However I really like Jessica's song. And I think we could say that there are some similarities with Empty Room but I think she'll go to the final. And I say it again I THINK she'll make it to the final coz you swedish people are really surprising when it comes to voting!

I'm really pleased with the Semi-1 songs. I hope rest of the songs are as good as them :)
Here's my ranking:

1. Ola – Unstoppable
2. Jenny Silver – A place to stay
3. Linda Pritchard – You’re Making Me Hot-Hot-Hot
4. Pain Of Salvation – Road Salt
5. Salem Al Fakir – Keep On Walking
6. Anders Ekborg – The Saviour
7. Jessica Andersson – I Did It For Love
8. Frispråkarn – Singel

I know it's almost the same with the exact order

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

I have been trying all evening to predict the outcome tomorrow, but it's really hard to predict.

The only song I think is defintly out is Jenny Silvers, the others can shock or be a total failure tomorrow.

This is my guess of what the results will be though:

Directly to the final after the first voting goes: Pain Of Salvation (Biggest surprise of the evening!)

2nd finalist: Ola

AC: Anders Ekborg and Salem Al Fakir

5. Linda Pritchard
6. Frispråkarn
7. Jessica Andersson (Biggest flop of the evening!)
8. Jenny Silver

But as I said..I may be wrong (and I hope I has a little wrong too..:p)

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

When will start the 1st Semi Final of Melodifestivalen? (I mean time)
Could it be seen by internet?

And If someone could do it I will be so grateful If recorded and uploded in youtube, cause I have internet problems and maybe couldn't watched.

Here a picture of the stage, from Mans Zelmerlöw web page. http://www.mzw.se/blogg.php

The semi-final begins at 20:00 (swedish time) so in Spain I think it should be at 19:00 but please check it. You can watch it online. There will be a link available a few minutes before the show begins at http://www.svt.se.

Now, about youtube. We are NOT allowed to publish any of the songs that made it to the final or to andra chansen anywhere before the 4th semi-final is over! You will be able to watch again ONLY the songs that didn't make it to the final or to andra chansen.

Last year I uploaded on youtube the 1-minute-video of Alcazar's song and I got a strike!

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

I'm not even going to listen to the songs this year. I'm going to wait until tonight. :D
I don't want to be influenced by the previews (pre-listenings?).
I want to see/feel the song together with the performance.

This is totally new for me...haha...

Salem Al Fakir got the most votes so goes direct to the final in Globen.

Jenny Silver came last, Anders Ekborg and Frispråkarn are also out.

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

Fair results imo. However I wanted Jessica Andersson in the final and Linda Pritchard to andra chansen. Salem's song is amazing!! I adore the music of the song but I really don't like his voice! :? It would be a really interesting entry for the ESC.
But fingers crossed for ALCAZAR!! :D

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

Didn't like: The stage (Except during Salem's performance), the postcards, the title graphics, the hosts (even though they're good enough Petra was amazing last year  )
Liked: The first semi songs are all quite good and results were fair.
I adored Salem's song and he totally deserved what he got.
and it seems hopeful for the next shows :)

I really liked Salem, Ola and Pain of Salvation.
So I'm happy right now.
I didn't like Jessica Andersson. I rather wanted to see Linda Prichard to andra chansen.
