I like Darin's ballad. But the up-tempo songs of Eric or Timoteij will stand out more. If I had to choose between the two - Timoteij.

Actually, screw what will stand out. I'm all for Darin.

but schlager is dead.

Schlager isn't dead. The fact that schlager songs don't do well in ESC doesn't mean that they are bad songs. On the contrary, I believe Hero is an amazing song. ;) It's just a phase. Maybe in the future, Europe will want schlager songs back! :)

Eurovision is dead without Schlager imo.

We need more Schlager.

I am furious that Pain of Salvation did not pass!
Sweden every year send same songs, do you have anything different that sweety trash pop?

Don't say that, the people of Sweden didn't chose the songs. Pain of Salvation's song is way too slow for this year... besides, the singer is always stoned...

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

I'm thinking the only ones who want Salem and Anna to win are from Sweden... that kind of music is not even popular here?

Anyways, I want Timoteij to win, and if they don't have a chance I want Eric Saade to win. We need more power in ESC.

[quote="Milos-BC":6k3ghjo8]Timoteij keep growing on me, now they could be my #2 favorite for the final. It is addicting, but i still don't like the fact that it is such an obvious Rybak rip-off.

Ehm? Sorry but how is Timoteij a rip-off of Alexander Rybak? Because of the violins and that it has ethnic-influences? I mean c'mon...
[/quote:6k3ghjo8]

If Timoteij is copying Rybak, then Rybak was copying Dima Bilan. All the winning songs the past two years have had violins!

Those two are the best!!! :D

And yeah I don't also see how Timoteij is a copy of Rybak. It might be a similar idea behind it, but they differ a lot. And Timoteij have a better song than Rybak.

Haha I think so too, I don't mind Fairytale, and I don't mind Rybak... but Kom is a better song and Timoteij are better singers... did anyone see Evrovidenie yesterday? (Russian national final) He sang Fairytale and another song, and his voice was cracking all the time!

Oops, I went a bit off topic there... sorry

Just trying to say that I really want Timoteij to win, because it will be a fresh breeze in ESC, and they're going to cheer everyone up! Even if they don't win, people will be entertained and happy! I'd say it's worth a shot! I don't want to sit through a billion songs about broken hearts, dead people and depressions... who wants that? Go Timoteij :)

lol, "Kom" is not a copy of "Fairytale" because it has violins, but because of the whole concept. The songs are not "too" similar, but you can't say they don't have anything in common.

Ok, that was just my opinion

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

The biggest tabloids in Sweden, Expressen and Aftonbladet, have been taking votes from online visitors on who should win Melodifestivalen 2010. The results were:

Expressen:
1. Anna Bergendahl (28%)
2. Salem al Fakir (16%)
3. Darin (15%)
4. Eric Saade (11%)
5. Timoteij (9%)
6. Jessica Andersson (8%)
7. Peter Joback (5%)
8. Andreas Johnson (3%)
8. Pernilla Wahlgren (3%)
10. Ola (2%)

Aftonbladet:
1. Anna Bergendahl (22.3%)
2. Salem al Fakir (18.4%)
3. Darin (14.4%)
4. Eric Saade (12.4%)
5. Timoteij (10.5%)
6. Jessica Andersson (7.3%)
7. Peter Joback (4.5%)
8. Andreas Johnson (3.7%)
9. Pernilla Wahlgren (3.6%)
10. Ola (2.8%)

Seems like Anna is the one to beat. :)

Re: SVERIGE - Sweden 2010

I can't believe craptastic songs such as Darin's & Eric Saade's are higher on those polls than Timoteij! But unfortunally they have radio support and all these young girls voting for them because of their looks... why can't young boys start voting for the prettiest girls aswell? hahaha

Anyhow... Timoteij leads the Esctoday poll (around 38%) and in Oslo Europe decides and Sweden can't vote for their own entry... so maybe Sweden should start paying attention to Europe finally?

Well i'm Swedish and my vote goes for Timoteij!

Actually Europe and Eurovision fans are two seperate groups tbh.
And the tastes between the two don't always match.

Anna Bergendahl most popular? omg no, with so many ballads we will need medication for depression in May...

Ola, Saade, Timoteij, Pernilla Wahlgren.. there are so many options for something upbeat..

I'm not sure Anna B would be the best choice for Eurovision.
I prefer Darin... :D

The official video for Peter Jöback is out as well.

This is the acoustic version instead of what we heard on Melodifestivalen and I like the acoustic version more.
