Unfortunately I have to share the news that I'm super into "Hartita de llorar" and that if it wins :es: could, Of All Places (TM), make two consecutive appearances near the top of my rankings on the year

Have only listened to the best rated Benidorm entries, and I didn't really like any of them besides the big favourite - which is good but not exceptional imo.

I'm not the biggest fan of the contest in general here in the 2020's - its mix of vulgarity and cheesiness is a bit too much imo. Then we have the ethnic element in some of the songs. That draws it in a quite different direction, but I've come to think that the flamenco stuff appears a bit forced.

My biggest all-time Benidorm favourite is Vicco from 2023. In 2019, I had 'La Venda' in my top 5 and was quite shocked that it didn't do well in the voting. Last year's winner was horrible, and the year before that: Well, I respect her capabilities as a singer and the fact that it wasn't pop and dance, but it was a genre entry, and I feel I need more than that.

Daniela Blasco seems to be quite under the radar. I'm not the biggest fan of her song but she gives me strong Chanel vibes already and i think she will have extremely strong choreo and slick camerawork. If the vocals follow, then she will landslide.
However for Eurovision, her entry remains worse than Slomo and doesn't have a momentum in the end like Slomo.

It is their best option. Even though we know that spanish fans will destroy her chances with the over hype.

Her song is just not good and it's cheap.

Just because she can dance doesn't mean she should win.

Can Eurovision go back to being a song contest and not who can dance (Daniela Blasco) and be the loudest (Red Sebastian, Citi Zeni). I think I've lost the plot since people be praising the wrong songs this year.

Celine Van Heel's salsa and DeTeresa's melancholic copla songs are my favorites from :es: Benidorm Fest 2025. :p

I can see why Lachispa is the big fan favorite. Definitely in my 3rd-5th somewhere. Unfortunately think this ends in tears as I think Spain want to push a male like J Kbello and flamenco already struggled once with Blanca Paloma only recently. Of course this isn't fair on Lachispa but I think that bias is a reality.

Lucas Bun has a touching ballad with an :pt: Amar pelos dois-esque opening. Rumors are he won't stuff up the staging like St. Pedro and keep things simplistic. Already have given my comments on Melody. Don't hate it but its only middle of the pack right now. I do think it comes down to her and J Kbello for the win.

Don't know about Daniela Blasco yet. Not for me but could go big with the audience. Found Mel Ömana quietly underrated but not expecting it to do well. Biggest problem with this year's edition is its pretty top heavy.

I'm not a fan of Spain, so I'm always having hard times when it comes to their selections. In '22 there was Tanxu, in '23 Megara (and I could count Blanca Paloma attempts on both too as pretty good ones) and for those I was rooting. On last one some were ok, but don't even remember any names (cause noone was above the average). And a current one? It is for me more like choosing lesser evil, again. That being said, here are my results for songs before this competition (*in blue I marked todays semifinalists):

1️⃣ DeTeresa – La pena 5️⃣/🔟
2️⃣ Lachispa – Hartita de llorar 5️⃣/🔟
3️⃣ Mel Ömana – I'm A Queen 5️⃣/🔟
4️⃣ Celine Van Heel – La casa 4️⃣/🔟
5️⃣ David Afonso – Amor barato 3️⃣/🔟
6️⃣ Lucas Bun – Te escribo en el cielo 3️⃣/🔟
7️⃣ Henry Semler – No lo ves 3️⃣/🔟
8️⃣ Chica Sobresalto – Mala feminista 3️⃣/🔟
(^this should be final 8 songs, when it goes only about the songs and my opinion^)
9️⃣ Sonia & Selena – Reinas 2️⃣/🔟
1️⃣0️⃣ Melody – Esa diva 2️⃣/🔟
1️⃣1️⃣ Kuve – Loca xti 2️⃣/🔟
1️⃣2️⃣ K!ngdom – Me gustas tú 2️⃣/🔟
1️⃣3️⃣ Mawot – Raggio di sole 2️⃣/🔟
1️⃣4️⃣ J Kbello – V.I.P. 1️⃣/🔟
1️⃣5️⃣ Daniela Blasco – Uh nana 1️⃣/🔟
1️⃣6️⃣ Carla Frigo – Bésame 1️⃣/🔟

I don't even remember Lucas's song, I had to go back and listen to it.

This is too late even for Portugal

worried about LaChispa, it's my favorite and one of the songs I liked most of the season, but it needs to have perfect vocals, otherwise the song will be compromised

Will we have complete results from the semis? (like last year?)
