I do see a lot of people using "Fulenn" and "Telemóveis" as an argument to why this will flop, and yeah I do think that's a really dumb comparison. Simply for the fact that we already know 100% for sure that "Ea ea" has a proven and well executed staging concept, that is key for this type of entry and that these two obviously lacked at the Eurovision stage.

I don't think Eurovision fans are that reliable all they like is mainstream songs or ethnic songs they can listen to at the gym or whatever. This is all about the stage performance which is magnificent.

The verses are super strong but the chorus is such a letdown xcry

Nevertheless, this song is the dictionary definition of Spain.

Such deep lyrics, I am shook.

I find this entry rather interesting... the staging, the flawless vocals, and the storytelling.
Not sure if I like the SONG itself, though... hmm...

Good luck, Spain.

Incredible entry this.Brutal talent.Taken a genre nobody would of expected and added a modern twist,it is a clash, yet it fuses just right.Of course this wont be at the top of Spotify charts etc,but winning ESC needs more than a catchy song, the contest has moved to rewarding the world class artists, and Blanca is that alright.
This has so much potential if they can sell the emotion by using the LED floors walls and lighting etc in Liverpool, maybe even some effects.Obvious this has a huge chance of winning, but its critical the staging is done to perfection. The EBU will be desperate to avoid a Ukraine win with such a weak entry and i think they would love another Big 5 winner this year for lots of reasons.A winner like this would be a huge plus for the contest as well.
The other interesting thing this year is we might get a winner who can win a jury landslide ,but not the televote. The televote side will be Ukraine and several others, but none of the televote entries look anywhere near jury songs,Norway maybe, the rest no.If a Ukraine win is to be stopped then likely jury winners will be pushed, and this looks like it might get a huge jury vote.Unless they ruin the staging of course.

We are not even halfway into the season yet with the number of released entries.

But from the moment that this was chosen as an entry, I keep having the same exact thought: "This is gonna do super well, this is gonna do super well, this is gonna do super well..."

Not sure why I am so confident about that.
But that "Voila" comparison from @Sammy absolutely clicks for me.

That's what I suspect too, and it doesn't necessarily have much to do with Ukraine. It's just logical that the televote's support gets spread more evenly under the new system, so the likely winner is someone who gets a top 3 with the juries and performs decently enough (top 5-ish) with the public.
All this slightly favours any prequalifier entry that fits the pattern (massive jury + decent televote support). From the 3 of those we know so far, I agree with Blanca fitting the best.

In these last 2 years Spain IS serving a Masterclass on singing: last year Chanel sang while dancing and moving around the whole 3 minutes and this year Blanca IS singing all the time, the whole 3 minutes. You might not like the song but you should be able to appreciate this.

I wanted to come here to write I've been listening EaEa this whole weekend, together with my selection of Canelita, and that she is my absolute fav female act this year that Norway, France and Estonia can't match.

But then I saw Chanel being praised again for her ability to shake the orange and sing on pre-recorded vocals for 3 minutes straight and then I asked myself: Why am I here? Come again? 🤣

Good night.
