I am a little embarrassed to admit that Agoney is my favourite, so I don't talk a lot about it, but I enjoyed the song. I enjoyed Megara a lot too, but I damn well know they ain't winning, so I root for Agoney, but I'm sure he's coming second to Blanca Paloma now. Every once in a while I do believe Spain deserves an act that represents them well from the inside and outside (and doesn't make anyone send death threats to the singer), and Blanca can do just that.
I had a hard time savouring Fusa Nocta and Vicco as fan faves; Fusa Nocta primarily because it's a song I don't particularly enjoy subjectively, and Vicco because it sounds like one of the more hyped songs you'd hear at a German NF by how so-okay-it's-average it sounds, not a freaking Benidorm Fest edition... could see myself dancing to both of them by the end of the day though if I turn my feelings off for a sec and just think to myself "eh, bop".
Alice Wonder I thought would have more impact because of it being an "artistic ballad", but I guess they are shaping up to become next year's Blanca Paloma (or the spot belongs to Karmento, I'll elaborate why later), because last year Blanca Paloma was not understood a lot either with a simple ballad.
Karmento is my least favourite of the final; I appreciate what she's doing but maybe it's the key this song is written in that makes it sound too unappealing to me? Like I like myself something happy but Quiero y duelo does not make ME happy personally. Also the staging is a mess (but an organized mess more so than whatever Fusa Nocta is doing...). But she's fine. Like I said, I foresee her to be the Blanca Paloma '22 of 2024 Benidorm Fest: she enters a banger after being rather underlooked the previous year, and wipes the floor with other competitors.
José Otero is Okay I guess. Nothing too extraordinary, just a stronger male ballad than Alfred's... also the final needed to have a token male ballad dude for whom not many cares, thus filling the Gonzalo Hermida slot of 2023. At least I prefer Inviernos en Marte.
No one seems to have a stronger pull onto the big ass Benidorm Fest trophy made to mimic the Eurovision trophy other than Blanca Paloma and Agoney, but Blanca will still win imo, leaving me without my Benidorm Fest winner going to Eurovision for a second year in a row. And tbh I don't even mind anymore because EAEA is frankly one of the stronger songs selected so far! And in a year where no song has quite lit my fire from the National Finals period, I will once again have to rely on internals or satisfactory NF winners to make my top 10. Blanca Paloma could so far very well make it on there...
