Llegó la mami
La reina, la dura, una Bugatti
El mundo está loco con este party
Si tengo un problema, no es monetary
Yo vuelvo loquito’ a todos los daddies
Yo siempre primera, nunca secondary
Apenas hago doom, doom
Con mi boom, boom
Y le tengo dando zoom, zoom
Por Miami

Y no se confundan
Señora’ y señore’
Yo siempre ‘toy ready
Pa’ romper cadera’, romper corazones
Solo existe una
No hay imitaciones (Na, na)
Y si aún no me crees, pues me toca mostrárselo

Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, morе, more, more
Voy a bajarlo hasta el suеlo, lo, lo, lo, lo (Yeah)
If you wish, you could do this dembow (Do this dembow)
Drives you loco (Yeah)
Take a video, watch it slo mo

Te gusta todo lo que tengo
Te endulzo la cara en jugo de mango
Se te dispara cuando la prendo
Hasta el final, yo no me detengo
Take a sip of my cola-la
Un poco salvaje na-na-na
Make it go like pa-pa-pa-pa
Like pa-pa-pa-pa-pa

Y no se confundan (Y no se confundan)
Señora’ y señore’
Yo siempre ‘toy ready (Yo siempre estoy ready)
Pa’ romper cadera’, romper corazone’
Solo existe una (Solo existe una)
No hay imitaciones (Na, na, na)
Y si aún no me crees, pues me toca mostrárselo (Oye)

Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, more, more, more
Voy a bajarlo hasta el suelo, lo, lo, lo, lo
If you wish, you could do this dembow (Do this dembow)
Drives you loco (Yeah)
Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, more, more, more

Glad to see that at least some people like this, but from a personal perspective, ugh. This was my dead-last place in the Benidorm final, 8th/8, and all I really get out of it is "the kind of song I'd place last in a mediocre WV semi and then promptly forget about"

It's nothing offensive, mind you, but when there were multiple options that would've made me actually excited about a Spanish Eurovision entry for the first time in years, it's a bit of a letdown to end up with something that'll probably wind up being my #40/41 or something for the year instead.

Nothing against Chanel herself; she clearly performed better than most of the other participants, seems like a perfectly nice person, and doesn't deserve the deluge of hate that I'm sure is being thrown at her personally on social media right now. But a competent performance can only go so far when the song is so *nothing*; even the best chef can't make a particularly exciting meal if they're working within the confines of "just toast a bit of supermarket white bread and slap some butter on it".

2 points for now, I guess.

Actually I like that kind of music but somehow the song is boring. Surely she can dance but they need a better choreographer to clean up that messy mixture of different styles. I give 3 points.

IMO there were better options for Spain (Rayden, Blanca or even Tanxu even if i'm not 100% fan of the song), Slo-Mo is a quite random song to my ears. But one thing's for sure, spanish eurofans will be proud of their representative whatever the outcome so good for them. This doesn't scream bottom 5, even tho honestly i can't see going this really high.

I'm just a bit sad that the winning goes to a performance where outfit and choreo comes first, also yesterday's performance was not as slick as wednesday's.
Anyway it's done, congrats Chanel !

Imma putting :6: because i can't deny her performance.

Thanks, Spain, for such a great week and a fantastic NF :-) Unfortunatelly not one of my two favorites, Rayden and Ay Mama, won, but I also like SloMo, so not too disappointed. But I don´t think, it will do well in Turin

Benny Cristo, Tix, Bilal and countless others say hello - local televote appeal doesn't correlate with the eventual Eurovision potential as strongly as people might think. Sometimes it fits (Voilà, Zitti e Buoni), but sometimes it's inversely proportional.
Oh come one don't be harsh on Tix (especially comparing him to poor Benny), he was 13th in televote + he was 11th-13th in most countries where he didn't get points. That's fairly decent. No one thought he was gonna storm esc televote as Norwegian.

Come on.
Tanxugueiras would be an enormous flop in Turin.
Rigoberta as well.
Spain has done the best option!
But why then televoting existed at all in the NF.. They received almost 200 000 votes from ppl, almost for nth... That "professional" Icelandic/Austrian jury should decide for the whole Spain, without televoting.. :/
Would you like similar thing to happen in FdC, despite your votes, maybe? I wouldn't.. ;)

Ay mama & Slomo were my favorites, so I'm very happy xheart
I think they make the good choice, Chanel will be at least in the top 15

I understant the Team Terra is furious but I never liked this song "la la la x 1000" , not my cup of tea & I don't like the live either, we never know but I think Terra would have been bottom 5 in Eurovision

After listening/watching it again without any painkillers taken today so far: I will give it a generous :8:

I still think that the song is pretty forgettable but like I have previously said, Chanel is not. She delivers a spectacular and unforgettable and mesmerising performance - The song might be a grower as well. Personally, I think it´s the best Spanish entry sinc Ruth´s "Dancing In The Rain" and I can totally see Spain getting a solid result this time around.

Analytical televoting:

Tanxu 46%
Rigoberta 34%
Chanel 11%

Not that "flattering" to Chanel, but hey ho...
Yeah the final voting was dumb and I hope they change it.
But Chanel is not a known singer while the others are established artists with passionate fans. That she even got that many televotes is not that bad. She should've come back next year with a bigger banger and a performance just as good and she would be golden.
I still think she will do fine in May. Maybe they will revamp her song?

EDIT: As a german I find it hilarious how upset some spaniards are. While I understand it based on the circumstances but Chanel is still a competent performer. We had the fucking S!sters and Jendrik. So calm down it could be sooo much worse.

As a German fan, I can totally understand the Spanish fans being angry about this and I fully support them.

Chanel is a great performer and honestly, I think she was the best option for Spain in terms of attracting foreign televoters.
However, it should not have been in the hands of a "jury" consisting of only 1 person who works in the music industry whereas the others are some TV personalities or foreigners.. one of them even "just" the head of the delegation of a country which has never won Eurovision. The people wanted "Terra" - all of them - not only the Galician voters but also people all around Spain - or "Ay Mama" at least.
After seeing all performances, I still thin kthat Chanel is the best option and that "Terra" might have failed in May (since it is not as instant and captivating and melodic as "Shum") and that "Ay Mama" could have been perceived as a joke entry by foreigners BUT it was not our decision to make.... how can we call Chanel the "representative of Spain" if she was just the "third" choice.
Also, let´s not forget that the winners of the televoting and the demoscopic jury got announced live on TV - so basically all Spanish televoters who paid 1,40€ each to make a vote witnessed that their votes didn´t mean a single thing in the end. They could have voted for Terra, for Rayden, for Ay Mama, for Xeinn, Gonzalo... it didn´t matter in the end. The televoters didn´t matter. No single Eurovision fan did matter... Chanel was the direct and absolute winner just because 5 individual people made her one - and two of them don´t even speak Spanish.. of course, they are outraged and rightfully so.

"S!ster" were "Sh!sters" but at least, our televoters decided it - not the head of delegation from Moldova, a notorious stage director from Greece, and three people who somehow work for NDR.

As a German you can't understand the Spaniards because you don't percieve this as political or lobby corruption that is widespread in S. Europe, whereas you live in a country where this is less frequent and people are held accountable for what they do.

For Spaniards this is a symbol of a greater social problem, and for you as a German it is a contest only. So don't mock them.

Just watched the version on Eurovision channel. Did the artists do pre-recorded "live" vocals? All those heavy dancing and she is barely out of breath. Either she is THAT good or that version is pre-recorded. The song is ok but Chanel oozes charisma and she has the stage presence. Not sure how the other entries in the NF are, but just looking it on a standalone, a step up from the last 2 mediocre entries. Very little work needs to be done for the staging, it's ready. Song wise, maybe a revamp would help. But I don't know if it will be enough to give Spain a top 10 finish. Very right hand side of the table as now.

Yeah I agree that's why I said this:
Yeah the final voting was dumb and I hope they change it.[...]
I understand it based on the circumstances [...]
I'm not mocking them and I get why they are pissed off with how the contest went.
I'm just saying it could be worse because at least the result is not the worst possible outcome and that they shouldn't shit on Chanel as a response, she is neither the cause nor the worst offender here.

That's not true. While voter fraud might not be a big thing but Germany is not the "better off" place we like to pretend it is.

I'm totally against International jurors in any National Final, so you really have a point... In National Final juries should be NATIONAL, full stop. Sanremo has an Italian jury, yet Måneskin won. FdC has a fully portuguese jury, yet Sobral won. So what's the point of having an International jury in NF's? If the package is good, it will be voted Internationally anyway when it goes to Eurovision.

At the end of the day it's all about how EUROPE receives this and how well it does with INTERNATIONAL viewers.

If you want Tanxus or Rigoberta to do well then go on! Stream their music, watch their videos on youtube, buy tickets to their concerts etc. No one's stopping you.
