Llegó la mami
La reina, la dura, una Bugatti
El mundo está loco con este party
Si tengo un problema, no es monetary
Yo vuelvo loquito’ a todos los daddies
Yo siempre primera, nunca secondary
Apenas hago doom, doom
Con mi boom, boom
Y le tengo dando zoom, zoom
Por Miami

Y no se confundan
Señora’ y señore’
Yo siempre ‘toy ready
Pa’ romper cadera’, romper corazones
Solo existe una
No hay imitaciones (Na, na)
Y si aún no me crees, pues me toca mostrárselo

Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, morе, more, more
Voy a bajarlo hasta el suеlo, lo, lo, lo, lo (Yeah)
If you wish, you could do this dembow (Do this dembow)
Drives you loco (Yeah)
Take a video, watch it slo mo

Te gusta todo lo que tengo
Te endulzo la cara en jugo de mango
Se te dispara cuando la prendo
Hasta el final, yo no me detengo
Take a sip of my cola-la
Un poco salvaje na-na-na
Make it go like pa-pa-pa-pa
Like pa-pa-pa-pa-pa

Y no se confundan (Y no se confundan)
Señora’ y señore’
Yo siempre ‘toy ready (Yo siempre estoy ready)
Pa’ romper cadera’, romper corazone’
Solo existe una (Solo existe una)
No hay imitaciones (Na, na, na)
Y si aún no me crees, pues me toca mostrárselo (Oye)

Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, more, more, more
Voy a bajarlo hasta el suelo, lo, lo, lo, lo
If you wish, you could do this dembow (Do this dembow)
Drives you loco (Yeah)
Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, more, more, more
Voy a bajarlo hasta el suelo, lo, lo, lo, lo

Gosh, these songs are so dreadful... At least half of them is just loud noise. And why does :it: music and Sanremo manage to have so much variety while :es: music is the same rhythm and style all over again and again???

1. Because Spanish music is made for Spanish audience.
2. Because Benidorm Fest has just started and it needs to appeal audience in its first editions in order to make it a permanent music festival. Nowadays no audience means no budget at all. If the average Spaniard likes this music, this is what you need to offer.
3. If you listen to something with the preconceived idea that you won't like it, indeed, probably you won't like it.

Decent selection with a couple of songs that I like. But there's only one winning act: Azúcar Moreno.
They are unique and their style of music is criminally underrepresented in the contest. (But of course being a huge fan of them since Bandido, I'm massively biased.)

I love Terra, but as I said, without a good staging it will lose part of its appeal. And let's not forget that this is our Achilles heel!

So you are from Sardinia? Well, I think Sardinia is one of the most 'primitive' regions of Italy (primitive in the sense of keeping its pre-Roman history as part of its identity). As Terra sounds raw, a bit primitive too (Galician folklore is strongly influenced by its pre-Roman celtic culture), perhaps that's why this song reminds you of the Sardinian culture.
You are super, Ausesken! xfaint More than anything else, you can see it in my previous messages, I didn't have many doubts about the choice of the Galician but the real doubts I had about the staging. Will the Tanxugueiras manage to create a show that goes hand in hand with the power of their song. If they succeed they can aspire to high positions in the ESC, if they fail it will be much more difficult.

No, I'm not Sardinian but I have a home and I often go to Sardinia on vacation. Then, some of my relatives live there. I am a Roman from Rome. The blood of Romolo flows in my body (my father is called that! I'm not kidding!). Returning to Sardinia, I really love their recipes, their land and their culture (I also know some sayings in their dialect). This is why I felt a slight resemblance between Sardinian music and "Terra". I'll tell you something: the "pre-Roman Sardinians" brought many troubles to Rome! xstars They were indomitable, tenacious and tough. In the 1900s, however, the members of the "Sassari Brigade" were known as "the demons" (they were small, short but extremely bad! xhelp:lol:). This is the anthem of the "Sassari Brigade":

I heard all the songs once. It's a good selection. I like mostly two or three of them. But I have some objections and doubts.
Are these songs written for ESC? Or Benifest is a celebration of the Spanish music? I'm always struggling with this point because, I think, ESC taylored songs arent mostly successful.
And if this festival is organized to celebrate the Spanish music how is possible that the songs are released months before. So from today these songs are entering into the Spanish charts but their celebration will be done after two months. Does it make any sense? I Know that most of the ESC fans could disagree with this point but I'm firmly convinced that it's not the right decision. Obviously I didn't agree with the decision of FIK to edit the songs weeks ago.
We loose the essence of these festivals knowing songs time before. And these music celebrations are reduced in mere finals where the only thing we want to know is the winner.

For me it makes no sense to compare the Sanremo Festival to Benidorm. You are too hard on the Spanish festival and their music. After many years of ESC disasters, I appreciate Spain's courage to brush up on their festival (which in the past has been a launch pad for artists such as Raphael, Dúo Dinámico and Julio Iglesias). It takes time to attract sponsors, seek and develop young artists, experiment, grow and consolidate. And ... as if by magic from 14 artists it goes up to 25 (and you can also add a "New Proposals" category). This project is an ambitious long-term project and, sooner or later, they will be very strong again. Spanish music has unique characteristics, it is a versatile music landscape. Few nations possess the Spanish musical variety (from gypsy to Arabic sounds, from the ability to create romantic and melodic music to catchy songs). For the uninitiated, the Spanish language has a frighteningly strong market behind it. Many Italian, European and even American artists have begun to wink at the Latin music market. Coming full circle, my judgment on the Benidorm 2022 songs is very good xyes

I agree with your thinking. There are good things and things to improve but there is time.

A quick judgment on the full package of competing songs is that of a mix of ESC-suited songs and more Spanish-flavored songs. I hope Benidorm Fest misses two bad things as soon as possible:

1) Release of the songs before the main event.

2) Worry about making songs suitable for the ESC. Good music always wins and not preconstructed music.

That said, always very fast, 5 out of 14 songs are good, 7 are enough and 2 not enough. It seems to me a good result for a first edition and with "few singers" in the competition.

I didn`t expect to ever see a decent national final from Spain again. Some great and solid tunes in there - but I can totally see Spain voting for that dull Gonzalo song and finishing Bottom 3 in Turin again :D

My Top 5 would be probably looking like this:

1 Rayden 9-10/10
2 Xeinn 8/10
3 Tanxugueiras 8/10
4 Blanca Paloma 8/10
5 Chanel 7/10

Son of Romolo uh? I hope he didn't kill his brother XD. I also have bonds with Rome, as my birthday is on 21st April  Coincidence? I don't think so.

The Romans had a lot of issues with the people in the North of Spain too. Another similarity between Tanxugueiras' land and Sardinia xheat btw, I love how the plural in Sardinian is like the Spanish plural. Also, according to several studies, it is the closest language to Latin.

I think we are going off topic though!

Guys, both Rayden and Tanxugueiras have been on Youtube Spain trends since they were released xcheer

I kinda like Blanca Paloma, her style and voice is intriguing, artistic. But her song misses a recognizable chorus or some kind of climax. Don't think it will do much in the competition for that reason. Terra is, well, interesting. I understand the comparisons with Ukraine last year. Don't think it will come close to them tho resultwise. Eco might do better than some of us expect if the live performance is decent. Some jury points (fresh/slik/radio friendly) and some teenage girls with the televoting.

My personal taste:
1. Secreto de agua
2. Terra
3. The rest

Eurovision-potential:
1. Terra
2. Eco
3. Ay mama / Make you say

I'm highly impressed by how much I liked this NF. I wasn't expecting Spain to give me my favorite NF of the season so far. There are so many songs here that I genuinely enjoy.

I'm not sure I'll be satisfied with the final picks because I feel that some good songs will cancel each other out and probably the most distinctive-sounding songs will get all the attention so far, and I think that is what is already happening in the fandom.

Sara Deop - Make You Say
Rigoberta Bandini - Ay mama
Xeinn - Eco

Unique - Mejores
Chanel - SloMo
Azúcar Moreno - Postureo
Luna Ki - Voy a morir
Marta Sango - Sigues en mi mente
Gonzalo Hermida - Quién lo diria
Varry Brava - Raffaella

Rayden - Calle de la llorería
Tanxugueiras - Terra
Javiera Mena - Culpa

Blanca Paloma - Secreto De Agua

I have the two fan favorites ranked very low. :nervous: Terra was both a bit boring and way too much on the first listen, but I expect that song to grow on me live. I'm aware that there's a lot of staging potential there and that they're probably the best choice for Spain for that reason. Rayden's song is very competent. The chorus does it for me, but I'm not into the verses.

When it comes to my personal favorites, there are two songs that I knew would be there from the very first moment, and then there's the big surprise of the edition, "Ay Mama." Listening to Rigoberta's song was such a great experience. The chorus got immediately stuck in my head, and the way everything flows, I just love it. It's a very addictive song.

Rayden and Terra are definitely the best in my opinion. I don't think either of them could win actual Eurovision, but at least wouldn't probably get 0 points like Spain did last year.

After first listens. Rayden jumps out at me, as original and memorable.
Gonzalo was nice but a bit too like last years effort.
The only othees that I found interesting were Azucar Moreno, Chanel and Varry Is a nice tribute song.
But as always much will depend on live performances.

In “Terra” they sing “There are no borders” in 5 different languages:

1. “Non hai fronteiras”
2. “Ez dago mugarik”
3. “No hi ha fronteras”
4. “Nun hai fronteras”
5. “No hay fronteras”

I know 5th is Spanish Castellano, and what are first 4?
