I'm so frustrated I don't even know what to say, like, other times I really manage to find the words or to understand what happened (we deserved to be bottom SO MANY times these past years) but I don't get what happened here and how a professional jury could rank this dead last...

Well, I guess we're sending another big voice with another random ballad next year.

I don't get why this ended up dead last with the juries and didn't do that well with the televoting either. I really expected it to finish at least top 15. It was so much fun, I really enjoyed it. Spain is robbed this year

Another flop I'm very happy about. Everything about it was bad and overrated.

After the juries, I was like: "yeah, fine, it isn't a jurysong...'

Then it also got few televote points. A catchy, fun song that performed last gets few televote points.

What the hell was the huge wooden puppet for? As if the house wasn’t weird enough. It was a total WHAT THE FUCK?! moment but not in a good way. Whoever decided the staging for this was stoned..

Yeah. This and Azerbaijan definitely gave me some real San Marino 2018 flashbacks (those robot...). I still don't get what this IKEA shelf was about. :D

That's a stretch. San Marino did not invent robots and the ones used in Azerbaijan's staging are not even close to San Marino's little robots. At least Azerbaijan's staging tells a story that is linked to the song's meaning. I thought it's really smart of them to do that.

Hi might blew the jury finale? Happened before. It is always hard to say, because the audience never sees what the juries saw. But I‘m stunned as well. I though Spain would do
much better. It is past time to stop this big 5 nonsense. Let everybody go through the semis. That would cut the hatred and give the big 5 countries the chance to place their song better. Italy might habe won if the had to go through a Semi

It was not a jury-friendly song to begin with. But in the televoting the Top 10 were not so far away.

The only major criticism I've heard of this was the puppet, which was only centre stage for a very short time anyway. That shows you that people find it hard to criticise even most of the staging. The performance wasn't that far from the studio version (which was fine), the lyrics are decent. A tight energetic dance song that really topped all the others in that style. Along with Azerbaijan I think Spain have produced three Eurovision classics in the last decade. More impressive than overhyped places like Sweden and Italy.

That dance song doesn't really feel as free, seems to have much less energy and is tied very tightly to the rhythm, the hook as a result seems simpler and just tagged on to the beat. Don't feel the passion there.

I was not expecting a top 10 for Spain. After I saw the rehearsals I was kind of disappointed. The staging wasn't my cup of tea. But I am suprised to see Spain doing that bad with the juries.

This is the biggest negative surprise for me. Didn't see such a debacle coming although I was well aware of the fact that the juries will not appreciate it as much as the televoters.

He deserved more although I agree that the staging was not ideal.

Staging for this one was utterly dire! The Spanish delegation took this from being a fun, frivolous and carefree party song at OT to being an overly polished studio track with staging that had absolutely no cohesion or relevance. And especially after following both Switzerland and Australia, there was no chance for Miki to stand out with such an confused stage performance. A real shame, and a definite opportunity missed. Sometimes less is more Spain xshrug

I thought the staging/camerawork was really good, except for the huge puppet which wasn't on screen for long anyway.
