Famous didn't impress me tonight. Natalia has just had her best performance so far, very emotional.
And here comes James Arthur totally overshadowing all the performers prior him.
Julia - finally something great, gurl, wake up and snatch that trophy from Alba :D

For the first time ever, this wednesday there will be a song in Catalan in OT, and many people have started complaining for it.

But hey, they don't mind if there are songs in Galician, English, French or Portuguese. It's just Catalan, that seems to be too annoying. Someone buy a brain for these people, please.

ONE OF THE SONG PROPOSITIONS

Hello eurofans, Operación Triunfo is approaching the gala 12. January is approaching, and it's time to choose the song that will lead to Spain at Eurovision 2019. Famous is considered the only one who wants to go to Eurovision. So, the proposed number skyrocketed to over one thousand (a record). Among them, is the composition of Cesar Sampson (which I would like to be chosen), or the proposal made by Carlos Jean with the name of #lacancionperfecta.

#lacancionperfecta is a project created by Carlos Jean to make the perfect song with people. Finally, the song was finished. Carlos himself called her "Tocaremos El Cielo". And here I leave it.

What is your opinion? Perfect for Famous?

The demo snippets will be published right after the OT final. The online voting will start and 3 best songs will qualify to Eurovision Gala. 7 songs will be chosen by the jury.
Thus 10 songs will be selected for Eurovision Gala in January.

I look forward to hearing the songs but getting people to vote on a minute long demo snippet seems a bit of a stupid move imo. :'D How can people properly judge and vote for their fave with only 1/3 of a song and then not even the final version. Also it seems they have a fetish for these duets, hopefully hey don't ram them down everyones throats like they did for this year.

We know the style of most of the songs:

'Hoy vuelvo a reír otra vez' (Noelia): romantic
'Vuelve' (Marta): romantic
'Nunca fui' (Carlos Right): romantic
* All romantic ballads, I guess :? *

'Qué quieres que haga' (Julia): ballad with flamenco vibes
'Qué será luego' (Alba): soul with latin vibes, I've read...
'No puedo más' (Famous): half-time song with gospel influence
'Se te nota' (Carlos Right): latin pop
'Dímelo de frente' (Sabela): pop with electronic sounds
'Todo bien' (Marilia): danceable "latin" song with funk carioca sounds
'Muérdeme' (María): apparently a sensual song but I haven't understood if it's latin style or not
'Hoy soñaré' (Sabela): ethnic
'La venda' (Miki): mixed Catalan rumba and ska
'El equilibrio' (Miki): indie with rock influence
'Sale' (Damion): pop with dancehall vibes
'La clave' (Natalia): Spanish pop with urban vibes *what they mean by 'urban' I don't know*


This is what I've read, we'll see on 20th december if it's accurate or not. Bfff.... doesn't sound good to me. I was expecting something like 'Contigo' and 'Lo malo', and I guess my only hopes are on the songs of Carlos Right and Marilia... but I don't like Carlos Right, in my opinion he can't really sing very well. Well, given this... I only pray we don't send another ballad xpray xpray xpray

And giving my vote based on a 1 minute demo? Excuse me? ¬¬ Unlike you, TVE, I do want to take the right decisions!!

Maybe No puedo más is actually low key this:

The song will go to start, Edurne will walk out on stage, shove the original singer of the stage and sing instead then they'll announce OT is cancelled and Edurne is going again to slay us all. xheat What a moment will be. Fulfilling all the drama a Spanish NF must have by law. worry not, Spain about to win.

I think regardless the Spanish euro fans will all get something to hardcore hype before its inevitable crash and burn. :lol: You'll have to hope something shines through in that minute demo version and everything not sound trash. Although seems a bit like they're going through the motions of it to build hype and look like people are involved, only 3 public chosen songs go into the NF, so TVE will obviously just pick the extras based on what they want should any of those not be chosen by the public vote.

I've been watching OT since it started and I already know the contestants that have a big fan base, who will vote for them no matter what, so yes, the winner will be super hyped and then they will complain because Europe doesn't vote for it. I'm afraid Marilia has 0 chances. Carlos Right will depend on the teenagers that like him because he's handsome XD And everybody is obsessed with Natalia and Famous. I wouldn't send Famous. I'm sorry for him because he's very talented, but it's obviously a copy of Cesar Sampson. TVE doesn't know how to be original.

that's always a huge flaw with such a format, popular contestants build fanbases, then when ESC week comes along those fans vote big for them even if their song has the quality of 3 days old porridge. It will continue year after year until they shake up the format. xshrug
