actually I meant someone who has already performed in FSC ;)
not Blue-like. Not a typical b-band.
if you are concentrated on flops - don't send anyone. If someone flopped it doesn't mean that their genre sucks.

hmmmm, do you mean La Casa Azul??? I think that's the only thing kinda similar to a male band that I've sent to FSC....

Re: SPAIN 2012

I don't think La Casa Azul is a good choice nowadays. They had their chance in 2008 with "La revolución sexual". Now I don't think they would do well, cause their music is original (not as original as it used to be, but original) and juries like classic ballads, good voices and commercial pop. La Casa Azul doesn't fit in any of those groups ;)

There are much better options I think :)

Spain is one of those countries which send good songs but can't get what they deserve. :? I hope Spain will be at least in TOP 10 this year.

I used to think in the same way about our jury and ESC juries... until Alyosha.
If a person is original and talented then he/she has chances among ESC juries. The other problem - will your broadcaster/televoters choose them?

hmmm true but Alyosha had a great voice and she had one of those high quality songs that are usually appreciated by juries more than the audience, something similar with the Italian song.
I don't think La Casa Azul has these vocal abilities and their songs are just funny and original. It's not really high class music IMO.

Re: SPAIN 2012

^ It's not necessary to have gr8 vocal abilities in order to fascinate the viewer/juries.
+ Alyosha showed just 2.5 octaves (not SO much tbh), it was about how she showed them )))
++ I think she was closer to Eldrine ;) than Raphael. It's not so conservative like Italian entry, also it was something unique thus it was risky.

La Casa Azul can't be compared to Alyosha simply because it's a male band ))) but they have 1 thing in common, imo, they are something rare for ESC. With the right song of course :)
Imo, Spain has many unique options but .... you never choose my faves :*) I still want flamenco (without electronica), I want alternative rock, I wouldn't mind something that can't be classified.

They don't choose my favorites too & i don't thing that a pure flamenco song will be succesfull for Spain, cause you must remember who happen when seend this in 1982 and 2005.

"Pure flamenco" is subjectivism, nothing can be considered as pure flamenco, it's up to different tastes but it's not something measured.

As for my taste. 2005 wasn't close to my fave flamenco style, at all )))

Flamenco is the same as carrying a guitar with a flamenco costume and horse fly

Remedios just sing ethnic rare song on a setting that don't fit with her style and his wardrobe don't favored in nothing to her :( the ethnicity was not fashionable at that time and so just ended just like this

Just i wanted a Flamenco song in English ala Enrrique Iglesias style .. that could be great for España xmusic
