Seriously. Loud voice doesn't equal Great voice.
She doesn't have a timbre that would make her stand out or make me say "Hey, it's Pastora!" when hearing her new song on the radio, i wouldn't recognize her voice amongst others.
That's what is valuable about a voice.
(of course i'm not mentioning an ability to sing in tune and hold the right notes, that's mandatory lol - Pastora can do it but that's pretty much it)

Great singer great song ;) I just I think maybe this song needs a little extra something to it, to differ it with another great ballad.

Well I certainly would! But ok.

I would too and actually I do, everytime I listen to her I know who it is, not just because it's such a poweful and great voice, but because to me her voice it's not very common, it has something very special and unique that makes me recognize it. Anyway it's a matter of opinion, it's completely ok if someone doesn't like her voice but saying it's just "decent" doesn't sound very objetive to me :?

This is more than a decent voice, IMHO.

Agreed. From a technical standpoint her voice is outstanding, you cannot argue that. If you don't like her voice or the tone then that's a personal preference.

I personally can't stand Celine dions voice but I'd never dare to say her voice is just decent cause I don't like it.

Exactly, that's what I was trying to say

As for the song, there will be changes but I don't think they need to change so much, I like it as it is. I think they just need to add more instrumentation at the beginning and that's it. Pastora said the essence of the song will remain the same so I hope so, no big changes are needed, IMO.

Technically her voice is good (and that's what i said from the beginning, cannot agree it's outstanding though, she sounds like struggling to squeeze the sound out at the loud parts and sounds flat for a few seconds here and there when trying to sing quietly but passionately), but there's more than just technique to a voice before you can call it "outstanding" ;)

And please, don't even touch Celine here, that's a totally different league of "simply freaken technically and emotionally genius unique brilliant singers", you will never hear a voice like that again when she's gone, you will hear lots of Pastoras ;)

I don't agree with you on Celine, she sings pitch perfect and she has incredible pipes but her inflections are off and it's too nasal for my taste. But this comes down to personal taste here which was my point in the first place.

We agree on the technical part, that's all I was pointing out, everything else is subjective.

But I agree that a stronger instrumentation is something I encourage, it would become an even better song IMO

Well, that's your opinion. Besides you can't judge a singer just for one single video, or two or three. I agree this wasn't her best performance, she was nervous and she wasn't as good as she usually is, but I've had the pleasure of hearing her live at a concert and believe me, there aren't a lot of Celine Dions but there aren't a lot of Pastoras either ;)

A stronger instrumentation would be great, it's always good to hear some extra flavor added to any song to make it better ;)

If you are not talking about her live performance then I definitely don't get your point

I agree her NF performance wasn't perfect, but this is such a difficult song to sing and it was the first time she did.
Pastora decided to add Quédate conmigo to the tour she's doing in different Spanish theatres, so she will perform this many times and will get used to the song.
What we will see in Baku is totally different, be sure of that

I was talking about her voice overall (i've heard it live and in studio versions), i don't mind when people are making tiny mistakes while singing live, it even adds some charm to the performance (of course if it's not singing completely off tune or not hitting one single right note for 3 minutes lol)

But i think we're already done with this discussion

 Ok, anyway like I said it's a matter of opinion and I respect yours :)

And I agree, I am sure what we'll see in Bakú will we completely different. This was the first time she performed this song live and she didn't have a lot of time to get used to it because it's pretty different from her other ballads and the songs she use to sing, but Pastora is very perfectionist and self-exigent as she herself has recognized and she is aware of what she has to improve, so I am sure during those months she will sing the song over and over again till she is convinced with the result.

I like it a lot, but I fell asleep 2 times already while listening to this song and that's the only reason I gave it 10 points . She will probably have a great performance with that voice and I can see Spain doing good :D
