A-lister's annual review:

A pretty decent indie-Rock track, not sure what to say more about it to be honest. Appreciate it stays in Slovenian, not sure how it will do in the contest though as it's more of a track you'd sit down and listen to but is it standing out enough?

It will stand out with the performance. Judging on the preview they're really going for the Sex-Appeal factor of the band. Superficially speaking they somewhat also don't seem to have much competition on that department this year (except when viewers are into twinks) so they get the male eye candy vote by various voting pools.

No, my taste counts only for me, but yours apparently speaks for "the average European" lol? It's quite bold to say that this will attract alot of votes due to their looks alone as some sort of universal truth that so many people share your taste in men lol. I mean they aren't ugly but "male candy"? They're average at best, but again each to their own... I am happy for you that they kick som spark in you :devilish: At least we would never compete for the same guys :lol:

The first thing my husband said when we were watching all videos and Slovenia was on a few seconds (we watched the live performance): look, only screaming girls in the background, they look like a boyband, all the girls will fall for them and go crazy. They will get many votes only because they look like that.

After seeing the performance and the reaction of the croud, I think this is a contender to win its semi. Austria was missing today but I am not sure if they will bring the same energy on stage. I will wait to make a decision but it has, without a doubt, one of the best performances of the night. People were singing along even though it was in Slovenian. Well done! Top 10 please, this is the band of the year.

I wish it would. I am still afraid of it NQ. Czech Republic’s Lake Malawi was similar, the bubble also went crazy over this one and yet it only got a decent amount of points from the juries. And I can’t vote in the semi. Slovenia would have gotten all my votes.

I mean Lake Milawi had an awful running order in the final just look at their televote in the semi

Plus, you can’t always extrapolate from a semi result to the results in the GF. People vote for someone in the semis because they want them to Q but their favourites were in the other semi or one of the AQ so they end up voting for them instead in the final.

I keep wavering on this one. It's a good song and I really hate having that "...but is it Eurovision?" question buzzing around my brain, since recent years (or decades!) have shown us that anything can work at ESC if it's good enough. But I worry that solid indie-rock in Slovenian is a big ask for the average midweek televoter. Fingers crossed for them, because they seem lovely!
