there's no denying that eurovision is popular here
I hope EBU will change something to make contest more fair (look at the post #5) xwhistle
+ only host country should be automatic qualifier
+ All participants should vote in both semi finals imo

Last year they tried with powerful ballad in Slovene, didnt work. Uptempo song in English this year didnt work either. Knowing that their best result happened in 2011 with Maja Keuc, I think that Nina Puslar might be the right choice for next year. But who knows if she's interested in representing them.
Dont see any bigger similarities tbh.

On 6th September RTV Slovenija announced on Twitter that the decision about Slovenian participation on ESC 2014 will be known in November.

I hope they don't withdraw! I think we can have 40+ participants this year, as I think there's a chance every country from 2013 will remain, plus BiH and Portugal could return.

I'm quite confident that they'll be in Copenhagen. 2013 was a bad year but it just wasn't the right song.

Slovenia: RTVSLO will most likely participate in Eurovision 2014 - esctoday.com
RTVSLO says that Slovenia will most likely take part. I don't know how the recent croatian developments will affect this though.

At least one good news today But it would be really nice from RTVSLO if they would somehow inform us in about this on their website. They obviously have time to post "news" about the Kardashians (this is my opinion about them:

I guess i'm the only one who was thinking that they're waiting too see what other countries will do and whether to withdraw or not. Seeing Croatia will withdraw i imagine that would influence their decision a little?...

Aleksander Radić, head of the Slovene ESC delegation, said nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but that they're trying hard for Slovenia to be able to participate in ESC 2014.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If we follow your logic then at least another dozen countries should stay home cause they are significantly smaller than Slovenia. So let's not be bitter but optimistic.
