Well, finally I'm going to Slovenia tomorrow! I'm so excited.

I'm not ashamed to say that I've discovered this country through Eurovision back in 2009. Actually, I did know its existence but couldn't locate it on a map and did not know anything about it. As I enjoyed several Slovenian entries recently (Alenka Gotar, Quartissimo, Maja Keuc, Eva Boto, Tinkara Kovac), I thought it was time to visit this little nation (that seems lovely btw) to celebrate the end of my studies.

Would someone be so kind to give me the names of some Pop/Pop-rock artists of yours ? I'm more likely to like pop/ballads singers who sing in Slovenian. Please send me a private message, so that I'll be able to buy cds in Ljubljana.

Tell that to the French people here! Still a huge part of the population don't even know Slovenia and Slovakia are two different countries... Then don't even try to ask them to locate your country on a map. Actually, most people here don't care "oh what, it's an Eastern country, whatever"... I know, I do not master geography like you, but at least I know the location of every European country now. You know, at school Europe ends with Germany, Switzerland and Italy, people don't bother knowing what's further because they think "Eastern people" are all the same, too many new countries, they're all Russians afterall blah blah... I don't make a general case of course, but that's unfortunately the reactions I noticed around me.

Don't want to go off-topic, but yeah: France and the United States (and to a lesser extent the United Kingdom) is pretty much what we learn in History classes.

Honestly, Slovenia got such an underserved ranking.
This song wasn't pretentious at all and it got a magical touch that was pleasant. Tinkara has a lovely voice and at least, Slovenia used a bit of its beautiful language.
The performance was simple but still enjoyable, especially the colours.

I hated Straight into Love but loved Verjamem. Hang on Slovenia, you have beautiful contributions to the contest despite the final ranking.
