Slovenia: Eva Boto to Baku with Verjamem

Moments ago, the final of Misija EMA 2012 came to it's conclusion with 16 year old Eva Boto taking the coveted prize and with it earning the right to represent Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Verjamem.
Slovenia's Misija Evrovizija, the competition to decide their singer for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest kicked off back in Autumn 2011. A total of 32 contestants battled it out and a number were eliminated week by week. Eva Boto and twins Nika & Eva Prusnik shook off all opponents to win the two tickets to tonight's final called Misija EMA 2012.
After the two finalists were known, broadcaster RTVSLO called for song submissions. This attracted not only interest from Slovenian songwriters, but also some from Denmark, Iceland,Croatia and Malta.
Tonight's show was hosted by Klemen Slakonja, who had hosted all of the Misija Evrovizija series of shows.
Three songs each in first round
The show was opened tonight by last years Slovene representative Maja Keuc and host Klemen Slakonja performing an alternative version of the 2011 winner from Azerbaijan Running Scared. A total of three songs were performed by Eva Boto and Eva & Nika Prusnik in the following order:-
Eva Boto - Run
Nika & Eva Prusnik - Konichiwa
Eva Boto - A Si Sanjal Mej
Nika & Eva Prusnik - Malo Sreče
Eva Boto - Verjamem
Nika & Eva Prusnik - Love Hurts
In the first round of voting, a 50/50 split of professional jury and public televoting decided which one of the three songs was the best suited for each act.
In the first interval act, some of the former eliminated contestants of Misija Evrovizija returned to sing their favourite song from their earlier performances.
Super final
When this was decided Eva Boto and Nika & Eva Prusnik returned to perform that chosen song. From there, it was 100% down to the public televote to choose the best entry for Slovenia. The two chosen songs were:-

Nika & Eva Prusnik - Konichiwa
An interval act was held featuring Anggun, the French representative in 2012, Nuša Derenda, Maja Keuc and Darja Svajger, Emilija Kokić and Maja Keuc herself singing the 2011 Slovenian entry No One.
Slovenia will perform in the second half of the Second Semi Final of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest on Thursday 24th May in Baku.
