Re: SLOVAKIA 2016

Yes please

Slovakia participates + Estonia sends an Estonian-language entry = Slovakia gives Estonia 10 or 12 points in the final

(I'm basing this only on Rändajad and Kuula, but trust me, it's 100% scientifically accurate)

Source please.

They even didn't come back this year, Austria is near of them. Even Czech Republic was back.
So i don't think it's difficult to say that they won't come.
Yes we are waiting for the official announcement.

Re: SLOVAKIA 2016

Seems like Slovakia will not participate in Eurovision Song Contest 2016.
RTVS, the Slovakian national broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that Slovakia will not participate at the forthcoming 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm next May. Hence we will not see Slovakia returning to the contest next year.

Ok :( I had some kind of hope they'd return out of the blue like Czechs. The black hole located in Central Europe, although way smaller now with Czechs and Poles in, will remain :(

It's sad, they didn't decide to come back. It would nice to see our neighbours again.

On the other hand, it will calm down some people, who are predicting ESC 2016 to beat record of most participating countries in a single year.

Too bad they aren't going. I would love to see his girl as their contestant.

Honestly, Slovakia's non participating could be called just blues to me. Because they really did a good job for the meanwhile they participated. However, they never got what they expected. Unlike The Netherlands, they decided to stay out instead of struggling. But that could be just a happy moment for Eurovision if they ever decide to return.

I don't think the EBU would publish the list of participants if there was any chance of another country joining the contest. I'm not saying it's impossible as the EBU has shown that they are willing to break their own rules, but I don't think they'd bother posting something that isn't final.

They won't make a surprise comeback this year. Slovakia isn't Australia: who would care about them returning while no one cared already when they were participating
Now that the list is released, it's over for 2016. :(

However, last week RTVS informed EBU that there was an artist ready to pay all the costs, including fees, if RTVS picked him/her internally.

I would like to know who that mysterious artist could be. It must be someone rich, with an ambition to be internationally known and happy with a corruption as a way to succeed in it... Perhaps Dara Rolins?
