Sadly this wasn't the case. It was very unlikely we would return in the first place, but now there is no chance.

Hopefully I am wrong and there is some strange miracle...

Hmm ok but still.. They shouldn't only look at Czech Republic...
They should see through the stigmas & look at the truth
If you get a good song you qualify (Latvia 2008 - 2014 = Awful, 2015 = awesome = qualification)
If your song just suchs, you won't qualify, although your country can be loved (Denmark & Iceland 2015)

There is little interest for Eurovision in as we never do well and send decent entries every year. Of course returning isn't only dependent on doing well, but with the chances of us returning so low anyway, them failing to qualify only decreases the chances of a return.

Cuts don't help either.

Sorry gotta disagree with that Carrie :/
2009 was butchered live & the song was middle of the road
2010 was a heavenly good song, but the vocals of her & her backing were DISASTROUS
2011 was a very middle of the road, repetitive song, a bit like Netherlands this year
2012 was a good try, which again got butchered live

lol Slovakia sent two awesome songs in 2009/2010, then sold out to please juries in 2011 and went for drastic change sound-wise in 2012.

Nothing worked because no one cares about Slovakia. Eventually, I think they were wise enough not to return this year, as they would have failed like their neighbor.

With out now, they probably think they were right about this.

lol Slovakia sent two awesome songs in 2009/2010, then sold out to please juries in 2011 and went for drastic change sound-wise in 2012.

Nothing worked because no one cares about Slovakia. Eventually, I think they were wise enough not to return this year, as they would have failed like their neighbor.

With out now, they probably think they were right about this.

Ι think she is not strong enough to support live a song.
In the year that Kristina won the NF, the 2nd song would do much better in Eurovision, and everything would be different now for Slovakia.

Horehronie was a good enough song to do better. It was killed by that bizarre and amateur staging.

Let´s be serious.

But if they won, I guess that so-called Slovnaft Arena aka "Zimný štadión Ondreja Nepelu" would be the place. According to Wikipedia, the capacity after last reconstruction (2009) is over 10.000 places in case of hockey match or something. In case of concerts, I guess it could be around 15.000.
