just announced they hired a company to produce AI-generated songs for Eurovision.
The EBU needs to come up with rules ASAP. They should have already prevented this from happening... I mean, are these entries really eligible?

What will happen to those "270 entries from 17 countries around the world that have been submitted" for Una Voce then?

It was just one song that was going to be created by artificial intelligence; therefore, none of the other songs would be affected.

Currently, the website says "contest finished", you can't send any AI submission.
But someone one the web found a way to see the song that have been sent : change a number in the end of the url. and you discover what have been send to casperaki. Here are some examples :

Maybe they will forget the idea for now, because it seems it's just sterile

Not only the EBU will not prevent AI. They are already using it in their news, and it's a matter of time when they will allow it on Eurovision as well.
The 1st EBU's AI summit had 300 participants from EBU members. They collaborate with Microsoft. Moreover, the EBU has already developed its own AI audio/video transcription software (for translating news). In a year or 2 we will see the first AI songs (more serious than what's San Marino doing) on Eurovision. Not just lyrics, I also mean backing vocals, instruments, whatever. I'm wondering if they will allow lead vocals by AI.
My recent FSC entry has already had one verse with AI vocals. Btw, Jerry Heil designed her last year's single cover with the help of AI. This could have been the first usage of AI on Eurovision by a performer if she won.

The AI would not understand the Three Laws of Robotics or what they mean, so I wouldn't worry about that.Let's just hope that San Marino's IA song respects Asimov's three laws of robotics!
