What about the Turkish diaspora in Europe? I think that he actually stands a chance to qualify. ;) We always have a shocking qualifier at Eurovision! :D
They stopped to watch after Turkey stopped to take part  Otherwise Elnur, the winner of The Voice Turkey would have a better place in the final.

OMGGGG first time ive listened to this song tonight all the way through and it's very bizarre, sounds like a 70's song with a strange bloke talking through it lol

Just had the original version pop up on an iTunes playlist, and I got a little sad. I was never one of the ones who hated it to begin with, but it's grown on me quite a bit and would now have a fairly easy place in my top 20. The disco version is... certainly fun, and it's still not the worst song of the year, but it's more of a mid-30s than a top-20 for me now. It's lost a lot of that genuine charm it had before, cheesy though it may have been. Well, hopefully they can stage it in some fantastic way in May to make me love it again - they're not qualifying for the year, so they may as well go all-out and entertain.

Wow, French version is beautiful. x12s

Can't they change their minds again and send this?

I'ts not a lack of talent I'm fearing. In fact, I think Serhat is actually a decent performer that could have pulled-off something at the very least acceptable. It's a lack of good taste, that didn't let anyone see the right kind of song for his voice and style.

We should start another petition for it again...

That performance was mind blowing! Just hope they'll come up with something more visually distinctive, and finalism is assured.... possibly even a "left side" score!

From Serhat´s interview with Escportal.cz (English version is on FB):

After changing the version from the romantic one into disco I had to change totally the staging. It was tough. I started from zero. And time was very limited. But now everything is under control. :) There is a huge surprise on stage never done before at ESC.

What it could be?

Well, with Thierry Mugler in charge of the staging, I expect something special and rather "tasteful" (or at least in line with Serhat's song).

My body wasn't quite ready. Forgive me, i'll need a moment to recover from the splendour I have just witnessed.
