It seems a bit disingenuous that they're sending this duo, surely they should send Michele for 2015/16/17 and Anita for 18/19/20? Who will they go for once Michele and Anita want to stop doing the contest??

The options are limited for San Marino, at least as far as sending their own people. There are only a small number of artists to choose from so their only other option would be to have Italians represent them instead, kinda like Monaco did with France.
If they're old enough to perform at Eurovision, I don't think there is anything wrong with sending them and I don't know if I would go as far as calling it disingenuous. I'd use that word if they start sending Swedish artists.

hahahaha i think it's just me, my friends say i need to let them know in advance when i'm joking/being sarcastic

It's a good thing that Valentina is not taking part, good for her at least as she finally qualified in her third attempt. And it was with her best song! I dunno what to expect from them. He ended 10th, she was in a group that had the worst song of the competition.

I feel inclined to agree, JESC is one thing, But ESC is so much bigger and so much daunting. I don't know if they will be able to cope with it, at least they have both gone through JESC so they have some experience.

I quite like the choice from San Marino (of course not compareable to our wonderful Valentina :-) ).
Now I hope for a song like "Breaking my heart", which was one of my favorites in JESC this year.
