I feel like a big chunk of Eurovisions heart has just been ripped out. Valentina has made the last three years of the contest very special for me. Going wild for Valentina with you all since 2012 has been amazing. At times hilarious, other times even emotional. Valentina's journey was incredible and I didn't want it to end yet. Well, it probably hasn't ended, it's been put on hold.. but I really was crossing everything that Valentina would return for one more year so she could take the Eurovision record for most times an artist has represented a country in a row. "Maybe" was a wonderful ending to this chapter but people still haven't seen the true artist Valentina is. Valentina said that "Maybe" was her truth and it was. She put everything into it. But she was Ralph Siegel's vessel still. She never got to show the music she was passionate about and that makes me sad.


But maybe I am being selfish with my wishes. After all, this is Valentina's decision. She's worked hard the past three years and emotionally it must take it's toll. Now is a good time for her to have a rest. Thank you Valentina for everything.

When you consider Michele's sister is in Peppermints, this means a Perniola will have represented San Marino in three of the past four Eurovision competitions. Rafaella is still young enough to make it four out of five at the next JESC.

I don't understand this so negative attitude, in Eurovision community today. Personally I think that it's interesting choice and I hope for good entry from San Marino.

A bit sad, to be honest, beacuse there is no Eurovision without Valentina, in my opinion. But I have high hopes for these two kids (I consider every person under 18 as a kid/child) and I hope for the best

But I don't think they will see the final. Valentina truly made history xsalute

My jaw was very painful that night. It almost fell off, I couldn't take the smile off of my face. The most thrilling moment of my life and it all happened sitting in my living room Valentina's happiness was the greatest reward for all the years of support. You could tell as she mouthed the words "Thank you" it was for all of us, and it came from a deep, deep place. Marvellous.

It was certainly an impossible task to find someone to step into Valentina's shoes, but I don't know if it was the right decision to pick those two youngsters. I do not find their JESC performances very convincing. We'll have to see how much SMRTV will try to play the age card, and I seriously hope they don't. On the bright side the song is still unknown, and there may still be a chance for a pleasant surprise.

Anyway, no ill wishes for beautiful and lovely San Marino, but if they fail miserably to qualify for the finals in the next three years then maybe they will come crawling back to Valentina begging her on their knees to sing again.

GOOOOOOOOOOOSH I can't believe we see the day when ValenTROLLA monetta doesn't take part at ESC..i had a feeling she will represent this country FOREVER!! :?

So I still thik this is a dream! :lol;

Unfortunately I feel I won't like Sanmarinese entry again..but at least it's not that boring bug once again...and I hope we won't see that monster of so called "composer" again.. :?

I was under the impression he was born in Italy but was ethnically Sammarinese
