I think we're having some problems with the site. Here's the text...

The public broadcaster of the small state of San Marino, SMTV San Marino, has revealed directly to ESC United that there has been no decision made about participation in 2015 and nothing concrete has been decided yet, despite strong hints from Valentina Monetta that she would not be returning to represent her country for a fourth year.

San Marino took part for the first time in 2008 but did not enter again until the 2011 contest in Germany. Since 2012, the nation has been represented by Valentina Monetta, who made the country become the first microstate to qualify for the final this year in Copenhagen, with "Maybe".

Rumours suggest that her successor may be San Marino's sole JESC participant Michele Perniola, who would be of age to take part next year in Vienna.

I can't imagine San Marino withdrawing after they finally managed to qualify. It's only a question of money, which will probably mean another Siegel masterpiece.

I've thinking than "maybe" Ralph Siegel could keep financing San Marino's entry but now with Valentina's brother now as the main participant and Valentina as a backup singer! :p

Not only did Antonello participate in the Russian selection he placed top 10 :lol: 8th out of 25 isn't bad at all if you ask me :D

To go even further his song even represented Russia in the OGAE contest that year! :eek:

He also participated in the New Wave competition twice placing 2nd in 2009 as a singer and 2nd again in 2012 as a songwriter. He is also responsible for San Marino's 2013 JESC entry.

Fingers crossed for San Marino. It would be shame seeing them withdraw right after their first qualification ever. I can only imagine how difficult funding must be for such a small broadcaster so let's hope for the best.

I think 50% of the broadcaster, belongs to Rai ;)

Sadly, I don't. JESC participation is a good sign for enthusiasm, but we already knew that they had that; their main concern is probably financing, so I'm still as worried as I was.

Weren't they one of the first to confirm last year :? I wonder what's taking them so long this time xthink Are they having trouble deciding cause Siegel isn't going to be paying this time :mrgreen:

If they dropped out it would be such a shame after finally making it to the final :(
