Re: SAN MARINO 2014 - Valentina Monetta

You do not have any single arguments to support your 'imagination' that she's popular..it's so obvious.. ;)

It's funny that you say that, since your first query was to find out why is she so popular here.
Now, weren't she popular, this thread would have 10 pages max, few would care about San Marino's entry, you would probably not write in it and nobody would reply to you. Instead, this is a very lively thread, despite the fact that there is no one from San Marino on this board, and it's only because of Valentina.
She is popular because she is popular. You just have to accept it.

Re: SAN MARINO 2014 - Valentina Monetta

Hahaha if thousands showed their support then millions showed ignorance to her.. :D

And it's not end of the story for me, don't know about you I'll comment on her in this thread whenever I want...I have the right, you can ban me if you wish! :) ;)

Stop the victimism cause nobody is banning you ;)

It's just MY end of the story about this topic with you, cause I've just found out is quite useless to discuss this with you. You seem to have an obsession against Valentina and you'll not move from there. It's okay but I just won't lose my time anymore.

Yes, it's a bear. The sculpture is called 'El Oso y el madroño', in English, 'The Bear and the strawberry'. Yes, that's one of the symbols of Madrid. It's like 'Manneken Pis' in Brussels, hahaha :D

hahahahah I won't move from them..I haven't commented in this thread for months! :D :D :D Hilarious!

Franco's post is not to comment really, funny and childish as hell..if few ppl in this site fanatically write comments on her all the time, that doesn't mean absolutely anything, it's even a bad reputation in my book..

You and I didn´t like Crisalide but you should remember that it was a very eurovision-ish song, old style with a twist, well sung and performed, and so it's only natural that many eurovision fans have fallen for it. Also, Valentina is a very likeable, unassuming character and looks like a really nice person. Her determination in entering the contest is probably the only reason San Marino is still there and that maybe is worth something as well.
Still, I would feel more respect for her if she chose to sing in Italian, as a true representative of her small country. As it is, her songs could come from anyplace really. And her association with Ralph Siegel, a man nobody wants anymore with good reason, is actually too depressing to bear talking about...

As for wiping other people's shoes... I'm sure she wouldn't mind doing that, as Marco Mengoni wouldn't mind either. They could wipe each others shoes and have fun and become friends, actually, if they weren't so already. But I find the expression a bit offensive and off the mark, tbh ;)

Re: SAN MARINO 2014 - Valentina Monetta

You're way wrong, Mrm.
Valentina is Eurovision's truest diva. She has brought San Marino higher than any previous entry and she collects massive support in Eurovision and Eurovision-related events, forums and blogs alike.
She's the funny character, the kind person and the classy singer. She perfectly embodies the Eurovision Song Contest in all its facets.

Franco's comment sums up Valentina perfectly. All i've seen since "Crisalide (Vola)" has been support and love all over the internet from Eurovision fans for Valentina. Whether people liked the song or not, they all like Valentina as a person. She's a kind, funny girl who's been nothing but grateful for the experience she been blessed with. We have all enjoyed watching her grow and be granted with 2nd and 3rd chances.

You can't sum up good music by how much it's selling or by how many people are watching videos. If that was the case, good music would only be chart music. Popularity shouldn't be an argument for whether we should like someone or not. All things considered, Valentina has done remarkably well with each song she has entered, achieving San Marino's best positions each time (and probably the best results ever for a micro state?). And as others have stated, Valentina is not just popular on this forum (although fans probably aren't quite as eccentric elsewhere). She's topped or come close to topping polls everywhere last year. She's the underdog and she gives more heart and sincerity in her performances than most of the other entrants combined.

In the Eurovision world, Valentina is popularxyes

When she qualifies I'll take it serious..otherwise, LALALALALALA :D :D

And even then it's questionable, her qualification will rely on voting of some 80 years old ppl in jury, Ralph Siegel's friends!!

MISERY! :?

I always hear "Don't feed the trolls!" but clearly that is not happening in this thread.
