Russia wants third time in a row to send Julia Samoylova at Eurovision

Russia has offered for the third time in a row to send the singer Yulia Samoylova to represent the country at Eurovision in Israel in 2019.

The petition was posted on the website Change.org.

“Julia, you are our pride! We, the people of Russia, we send you back to the “Eurovision-2019″ to Israel! Please support the initiative of the First channel and President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin!”, – it is noted in the petition author Viktor Bykov...

I saw only the beginning of one press conference of her in Lisbon and I had the impression of watching a hostage video. I felt very sorry for her. If the team were her friends I don't want to imagine how her foes would behave.

OMG, people here are actually making fun of ill girl, awful. :eek: Just when I thought fandom can't get any crazier and meaner, but ok, people are selfish in general, when they have health and everything. Her song and performance were bad, but c'mon, how would you feel in her place in life. But, yeah, noone even cares, of course, I am stupid writing this actually. :?

Come on. She is 30 y.o. woman, she was sure about what she was doing, she knew about her vocal abilities and ofc she is able to make a decisions. In every moment before march 2018 she was able to say "No, I won't go due to <insert a reason>." But it did not happen. Choosing her internally in 2017 without a song even was a mix of cynism and idiotism.

Making fun of it? Hmm, yes.

I agree with everything you've said of course, except of making fun of her, she is hated enough already. Instead, I just ignored her completely, this year, but I always do it when I don't like some song and artist. :D She shouldn't compete even this year, I hope she won't be back, too, but in a kind way. :)

I liked the interview very much and now understand her as a person better as well. We guessed already that she didn't feel well with the song and all, and now we know for certain.

THANX GOD! Nyusha can't sing live. She is amazing a dancer, but not a singer. So, I am really glad she got knocked up hahaha :D

No, no, no, noooooooo :) You are not being serious :)

It's a joke song that sounds good only if you understand lyrics. Moreover, the singer isn't really that great live.

If you ask me, I'd pick something like Melbec and Syusana (though she is Ukrainian, if I am not mistaken :)) or perhaps Elena Temnikova as solo act now. Oh, my God, there are so many great singers in Russia that we still haven't seen them at the ESC stage. I totally forgot - why not Burito? The group not only has great songs, but the lead vocalist is soooo damn handsome if you ask me xqueenbitch


And if Russians don't mind, I'd love to see Dan Balan and Vera Brezhneva together on stage singing a song like one of their two duets - I adore both of them!


And probably the best possible suggestion I could come up for Russia is Leningrad singing something like Zhu Zhu - AMAZING SONG (and best videos) :)
