I think Russia's chances at winning get bigger with each selected song. All other favourites and outstanding entries seems to be so experimental and camp this year. A strong power ballad is definitely more appealing to the general public than all the clearly polarising stuff.

anyway i was rewatching you are the only one for expectation building purposes and holy shit that performance really goes off the rails once he starts climbing the screen, and it only gets worse afterwards. absolute overcook. a pokemon movie with all frames condensed in 3 minutes (sergey is very much pikachu thank you). looking back i am surprised it did as well with juries as it did.

regardless of results i hope this year's entry learned from that error. i love that song and sergey is so charismatic but the second half of that is downright unpleasant to watch. sensory overload.
