Re: RUSSIA 2014

Don't label me as pro-Russian please. I am possibly one of the most neutral people around here.

I didn't label you as anything, the second part of my response was not directed at you, it's directed at Russians in here or people that might have felt offended by the discussion. I just felt the need to underline that whatever being said in the discussions is not meant as an attack on Russians.

Re: RUSSIA 2014

If I were Russia, I would not even dare to take part this year ever again...

People would surely boo any singer off the stage for political reasons, so Russia should not even wait for the outcome of the petition and simply resign instead.

I don't think they will withdraw at this stage. If they withdraw wouldn't they get a 2 year ban, which they will obviously will not want.

Nah, I don't think they would... and anyways that's sorta what some of us want aswell as a response so

As for booing, a little booing never killed nobody... so let's dance until we drop!

Maybe they'll be booed, I don't really think so though and it wouldn't be the first time it happened in ESC...

Protest voting will probably happen against, if this is all still going on come May. I'll be surprised to see Russia get has high votes as they usually do from Ukraine this year.

Yeah, maybe protest votes but booing in Denmark seems a bit unlikely... maybe some xshrug

@ AshleyWright

If all Russians who live in Ukraine are allowed to vote they will get at least 10 points from televoting...

So? If the national juries rank them 26th it'd be enough for them not get a single point from Ukraine.

Sergey Lazarev is a great choice but I prefer a pop-ballad! :)

Do you remember where?

I'm not surprised this year appears to be a mess and they don't know what they want to do. Eurovision clearly took a back seat to the Olympics xshrug
