Folks Alex is not arrogant and not full of himself It isn't his fault he really can do everything properly. Alex is just a winner in life af if he has been kissed by God. As for me I always feel happy meeting such positive and sunny people like him! How can irritate James Bond f.e.?

He is rather unique: not all Russians are so gifted.
And NOT only Russians have got great talents. Don't provoke me - I am not so dumb....
But I think it would be just fair to admitt - most of people of every ethnicity are average but some of them are outstanding.
Do you remember your school days and 2-3 very popular brilliant guys or girls? Wasn't Elvis - Alex's idol - the same? Alex belongs to this line of lucky persons. I don't. So why should I blame him for being loved by Fortune? I really don't understand. :shock:

Let's talk about his being 'gay'hater'. He is straight and he doesn't want himself to be taken for a gay. You see he's very attractive and some short-minded people consider all handsome guys of ESC as gays. It's hard to stand for a straight guy. I guess he is tired of these false suggestions that's why he put this t-shirt with so 'awfull' :?: phrase on. No offence to anybody.

Nina is a very beatiful girl, Alex is very manly so I guess he could be after her if there were no so many obstacles!

Classical example of trashy pop song, with very blend choreography and weak vocal. (I know Alex is talented guy and good vocal, but last night it was very weak).
His qualification is not deserved (my opinion), 'cause it was 2 or 3 song was much better last night.

My opinion about his performance has nothing in common with Alex's private life and especially not with his mocking of Nina.
I just don't like song, don't like performance and don't like performer (and I love Russia almost like my own country).
I know that Russia deserve much more than cheap blend trashy pop song "made in sweden".

He seems very arrogant, and even though I don't think it is good that he is so self-confident, he has a right to be. He is a good performer with a good voice for a pop singer. I don't like all the Russian flag waving and the excessive patriotism by him, because it makes him look like a fool more than anything, but oh well. Oh, and proving yourself to be straight by making fun of gays isn't the way to go, ESPECIALLY not in Eurovision, which in itself is pretty much a gay parade. And what you said about most ethnicities having average people and a few outstanding ones, I happen to think that everyone is "outstanding" in their own ways, and some just choose to use those skills that they got while others don't. To say that most of a society is average is wrong, in my opinion.

elfia, things that you say do make sense to me. Maybe it's a cultural thing, most Slavic guys I know are somewhat macho in their behaviour lol. I don't agree with his way of dealing with things, but I do agree that he is a talented guy with lots of potential.

Well it is offensive because people have been offended .

And I agree with Margerita86 - he's a brilliant and talented performer but as a person, he really puts me off supporting Russia.

Nope he's an extremely nice and friendly guy. And all the audience waved their national flags - nothing special about waving Russian one. :shock:

Not 'most' - I said 'all' ethnicities. It matters.
Sure you are right in the high sense of the word 'personality': we all are treasures on the God's palm. But I mean just artistic skills of a perfect performer. Well I don't know about personally you but I am a very average person as far as artistic skills are concerned and I would never dare to dance on the ice, to gym, to become a stuntman, to play an accordeon, to sing in front of the audience on the language which is far from being my native one (Alex has never spoken English before!) , to compose music, to act in the movies - and everything at the same time of my life! It's not an average level I guess so. So I admire persons who can do all these amazing things and I don't feel hurt 'cause I can't do them.
BTW I don't care of Alex final number in this contest. I wish him good luck and cool carrier as a singer :!:
