The Russian are verry lazy to speak english :lol::lol:

Im not sure but I think it may be because they didnt teach foreign languages in the USSR when people like Alex and Dima were being brought up. I cant speak though cuz Im lazy on every single language, including my own!

As for Alex, he's soooo cute - I love how he gave a special mention to Blue (;)) and his message at the end has definitely got my vote :D.

the USSR decayed in 1991 ;) so the guys were brought up in Russia.
and they taught languages, my mother was taught French for example. :) Actually soviet education was very good. Much better than what we have now. :(

Yes but Alex Sparrow and Dima Bilan were born in the 1980's so it was still the USSR. And it was just mere speculation that I think that's why they struggle English because they didnt want to teach the language of America during the Cold War ;). But I may be wrong lol.

Actually PashonFrut is right about Soviet education system being very good, but I think focus were not on languages though but on science, mathematics and such.

I agree concerning languages. Moreover in order to make native Russian speaker to speak without an accent you must try really hard. This is the language with totally different sounding, and by accent in English can compete only with Asian languages probably

esctoday.com met this year's Russian Eurovision representative - Alexey Vorobyov (Alex Sparrow) - during his official promotional tour in Romania.

I'd hope he'd sing some Russian accordion folk song instead of what we got (as he does in these videos).

That video was amazing, if that were to happen, I want Russian dancers (girl) in a folk inspired clothing, dancing a fusion of folk and modern dance. That's just me dreaming :)

Maybe next year, this year Russia is again playing safe after being a little bit "experimental" and interesting 2009-2010.
