To be frank: I am not William or Deban or anyone of wiwibloggs, but the studioversion of Esters Song is meh. The version of the semi, too. The final presentation lifted the song for me high. (Something similiar has happened for me with the Australian entry)
On the other side: I was a little bit disapointed by the presentation of "Dear Father". It was just too much kitch for me.I liked the studioversion and the semipresentation, but the final presentation was just too much kitch.

Saw it the same way. When the studio version came out, I really loved Laura's song. But her live performance was a bit too much for me, that's why I am happy she didn't win.

I know that Opinions can change after the Liveperformances, but not to that Extent.
It is surely no coincidence that Lauras worst Juryresults were from the (probably) only 2 Gays in the Jury.
I mean even Teodora who deban hated in the Studio was apparently better than Laura despite her Performance

Tumblr, mostly.
I actually think the song is excellent? lol. I mean, "On a Sunday" isn't perfect, but it's a competent composition. Ester's singing technique and poor enunciation makes it messier than it should be (the poor enunciation is pretty shocking, considering she's Canadian), but those things can be polished with enough rehearsals. Romania needs to capitalize on the song's moody atmosphere and make it *FIERCE* and they can even scrape together a top 10 song with it.

Tell that to the Romanian ghouls that are trying to destroy her :)

I feel so sorry for Ester, this must be terrible for her if she doesn't want to appear on television. TVR is really fucking up with not even backing their own act

Because of the fucked up situation, EBU might soon give TVR a warning and maybe threat to do the same as they did in 2016, throw :ro: out of the competition and if that happens, I really hope Ester will sue TVR since she has done nothing wrong

Bella really acts as a great loser, don´t she?:rolleyes:

The diffence between the best 4 Songs was for me 1(!) point on an scale of 1 to 10. Laura was 8, Bella and Trooper was 8,5 and Ester was 9
Laura would have gotten only 7 points from me, if I were one of the Romanian jury. So no big change of my opinion. The whole field was very near for me.

I doubt this. Lots of Countries had corrupt Selections and the EBU did nothing. Lets not forget Broadcasters are allowed to exclude the Public via Internal Selections.

Btw. Bella congratulated Ester and hopes for a good Result at ESC, but I think shes right questionning Emmelies Vote, since putting her 11-12th/12 is ridiculous.

I am so surprised with the winner, since I was 100% sure it was going to be Laura or Bella. But I can't say I dislike this song, it is different, a little touch of Avril Lavigne in the style of it all. The only thing is that she really have to work on her pronunciation, a lot of the lyrics are impossible to hear because of her accent. But this could be a song that could make Romania qualify, if not the semi is too strong. Decent choice Romania! :D

The Idea of prof. Juries was to help Romania finding the best Entry for Eurovision, not to vote what they personally like.
And this year SN19 was one of the most hyped Selections this year and not because of Ester, but because of Laura and Bella and the Juries had the Task to make sure that one of them will win since Televoting in Romania alone isnt always fair because of the Non-Existent Interest. There own interests shouldnt be in the centre. Laura had the Chance to revive Eurovision in Romania and make it attractive for their bigger Names. I hope for Ester that she reaches at least the Final, otherwise she can say byebye to her Career and TVR will lose more Viewers and the Hate will increase.

Them changing their opinions radically is nothing new. They hated Norma John but William gave 12 for it in UMK. And no, there was no homophobes or other drama in the NF.

Poor Ester

She did nothing wrong, but i don,t understand at all why TVR only gave Televotes 16% decision?

And i don,t understand at all why 2 of the judges comes from Wiwiblogs? Is just a small Eurovision side for the fans.

Wiwiblogs had double so much power than the people in Romania. That is quite sick.

Well for one, I think, that Ester has the best potential for the ESC. That was the point why I think she is a 9 for me. I don't think, that the kitsch-presentation will work as good als Esters westernlike-presentation.
By the way, one important role of the jury in the national selection is to hold the fanbase in check. Many fans vote for the artist and not necessarily for the best song.

Honestly this mob mentality that results in BULLYING contestants for *daring* to be liked by jurors is D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G and an affront to human nature. Those are the rules of the National Finals and while questionable, they are what they are. Complain beforehand if you must, but don't go around launching smear campaigns afterwards because you didn't fucking get your way, like a toddler whose been denied candy. The Cyberbully mobs already forced Petruska out of A Dal with flimsy plagiarism claims, they almost destroyed Mahmood as well (with an unpleasant tinge of xenophobia in the mix, although Mahmood was born in Milan, has an Italian first name and is probably fucking Christian anyway???) and I swear if they try to do the same thing to Ester...

Cowardly and vile human behavour, that's what it is! Sore losers, the lot of them! For fucking SHAME.

This has been the worst season I've seen for fan behaviour. Started after the Australian result and snowballed from there.

Well, if you think Ester stands more out at ESC and has more universal and instant-Appeal then its your thing. Televoter never went for harmless, ok Songs. I can only quote myself from around 100 Pages ago.

Btw. Juries shouldnt be there to punish someone because hes famous and help some Underdogs to win only because theyre "surprisingly good" since the expactations were 0.
