She gave up from the NF, as she supected there was corruption going on. So did Zlata Ognevich I think.

No, Mika won the NF (probably due to corruption but still), then there was a public outrage and NTU decided to (atleast on paper) hold a new NF with the top. 3 (consisting of Mika, Zlata and Jamala), but both Zlata and Jamala declined the offer so Mika got sent anyhow.

I don't think Jamala's song was any good though, Zlata was great though (in particular the Ukrainian version) but that's history now plus the wrong thread.

I went through pretty closely comparing both versions for the first half of the song, and stopped bothering when they were identical up until that point. I'd assume they're either identical or very similar overall, at least.

Wow! Blown away, I know people will moan about it being "too early to say" but I honestly think that is winning material right there. So catchy, contemporary and not to mention uplifting.

I don't quite get the hype over Miracle, it sounds trite and seems like something that's been done so many times before. It's like a duet version of Shout It Out or Amazing or something. Please Romania, don't pick this rubbish.

My only hope is that Electric Fence come back this year and finally take the gold!

I think I still prefer Playing With Fire, but I would bet on (and hope for) this coming somewhere in the Top 10 of the final. I'd probably like it a lot more if there wasn't that awkward bar-and-a-half without vocals at the beginning of the chorus, but it'll still be one of my favourites for the year, assuming that it gets through to represent Romania (which isn't necessarily set in stone, considering we've already heard of some strong competition). That said, I find it incredibly hard to compare something like this with something like Sängyn Reunalla or Au Paradis, so my pre-season favourite is probably going to change depending on my mood until I've settled on something.

Same. It is not bad by any means but lacks a warmth that was so vital in the success of Playing With Fire.

Just as I thought... so bland, generic and meh! Nowhere near as bad as Playing With Fire though which was cheese on toast.

The key change is so dodgy, and Paula sounds horrendous on that high note Romania, choose something different, you're better than this!

Well, I'm Romanian and I like the song a lot. I don't get it why people compare it with "Playing with Fire". That was 2010. This is 2014. They are not competing against themselves. "Miracle" is a very good song.

Nice song from Paula + Ovi - could be in my personal top 10 if it wins the Nf.
But "Playing with fire" was better imo (ok, it´s difficult to beat, because it was my #1 back in 2010)

Miracle does at least sound modern, but it's not very interesting. It's just generic electro-dance with banal lyrics reminiscent of Georgia last year.

If this goes to Eurovision, I can see this one ranking high in the charts. I would say it's about the same as Playing With Fire if I were to rank it.

Not as great as I thought it was going to be. It's sounds current but also empty....it'll come down to the competition Ovi and Paula will have to face...but they already won the likeability factor....
