I live a very jolly life, don’t let those Ugly mainland pessimists tell you otherwise. I’m happy as a clam! It’s true, I swear! But you know, I’m only human, even the mightiest person around has worse days. I’ve been sick with scurvy, I’ve been homesick, and even this old man feels deep sympathy for other people sometimes. Watching the news lately, no, I definitely gotta say I don’t feel alright about what’s happening…

One day I sailed through a mighty storm when my ship capsized and I was knocked out cold! When I woke up, I had ended up on a strange shore. It was the homeland of goblins! It’s true, I swear! Thankfully these guys were very friendly, and they invited me to their national holiday festival that just so happened to take place that day! It was a very fun event, apart from when I tried to buy some food and ended up biting on a piece of rock. Not my fault, I couldn’t read the sign! Their alphabet has a lot of very odd letters…

In my glory days, I was a respiratory champion! It’s true, I swear! I was able to suck in air to fill a bouncy castle, and I was able to blow the thickness off of dromedaries! Sadly, those days came to an end when my blood type mysteriously switched from Õ to Y, and my lungs are no longer what they used to be… No I don’t know how that even works, I’m not a physician.

I’ve spent a lot of time trading furs and spices in the north, in some large nation that says they’ve patiently been applying for various memberships for a long long time. Huh, oh well. I had an encounter with a shady merchant there once who tried to sell me a mysterious box, claiming that it contained the “secret to vitality on Natia”, and he said “It’s true, I swear!”. Weirdo. Anyway, I bought the darn box and brought it home to my island. I opened it and it contained… just a pin of some freaky lion-eagle hybrid thing. Maybe he gave me the wrong box?
