I have no idea who you are, but yeah. It is all good. HaahI'm also on Tugavision. Causing drama xD Hence my commentTeam Josh here and it's all good.
There's no male power ballad, there are some mid-tempo male ballads like Netherlands and Czechia, but they lack the grandeur and intimacy of Fernando's song.
Some critics may call it basic, but the staging has a easy to understand message, anyone in europe will understand what is happening and may even sympathize with him, so I think we can get a respectful result in the televote.
I do worry about one thing, the running order. The story of a unknown singer writing a song in his home and making it into the big eurovision stage is a great opener and that would be bad for Portugal.
A good example of how far fans delusions can goI truly believe Fernando Daniel could give Portugal a top 3 if he wins. He reminds me of Slimane : star in his country, a lot of charisma and stage presence live, very strong voice. We are exactly in the same scenario here potentially and Medo could be the new Mon Amour of this year. Mon Amour followed Due Vite and Medo will follow Mon Amour. Portugal could be happy if he's chosen. And Fernando song is as good as both Marco and Slimane entries.
I can't for the life of me fathom "grandeur", "power ballad" and "Fernando Daniel " together in the same sentence. Are we living in a parallel dimension? Is this the Twilight Zone ?Looking at the lineup of semi 1 and the entire eurovision, I think that Fernando Daniel will easily stand out.

I can totally see it being top 3 with the judges in the final and reharding the televote I just have to say that he and his team were very smart staging it. How can people not understand the storytelling of the staging?Well, definitely not everyone, because I 100% did not get it. Neither did any of my NFs watching German friends. And with that explanation, I'm not sure what is there to sympathize with? And why is he climbing on a chair anyway?
Can someone explain to me how I ended up having to defend an opinion about Fernando Daniel?I can't for the life of me fathom "grandeur", "power ballad" and "Fernando Daniel " together in the same sentence. Are we living in a parallel dimension? Is this the Twilight Zone ?![]()

Isn't it obvious? Isn't there a thread of cause and effect that you can see flowing throughout the runtime of the performance?Because barely anything is happening? And that stuff could mean a lot of different things.
He's sitting at his desk. Plays guitar for a bit, climbs on his stool (? Is that a talking to god thing?), walks around, goes to his Band. Uhm. What exactly am I suppised to make of that?![]()
I would never in a million years come up with that storyline you told by watching the staging. Never. How can people not understand the storytelling of the staging?
Frankly, nobody gives, or will give a toss about the story he's telling. He's a plain little man with next to no charisma, singing about someone he can't manage to be without. Then he made up some sort of creative song writing drama which in the end will propel him to fame. So interesting.Isn't it obvious? Isn't there a thread of cause and effect that you can see flowing throughout the runtime of the performance?
Sidenote, but why do I even have to explain or defend Fernando Daniel? A couple of days ago I called him an idiot and lazy... How did I ended up in this position?

I said what it was about in the post you quoted. Did you read it to the end?No, really, and you repeating that it is obvious will not make it so to me
And you do not need to defend him. I mostly answered because I personally do not get the hype about the staging, and I disagree about your Assessment of this vs the Netherlands and (at this point) Czechia. Especially regarding the latter.
Welcome to the forum! This is my first pot here and it's been fun reading all the strong opinions about the 2 main favourites. Both songs have their strong and weak points. I prefer "Tristeza" and "Cotovia", because of their elegant melodies and orchestrations, but I can see why many others may prefer "Medo". The running order indicates that all 3 songs will get strong support from one or both sets of votes.
Thanks!Welcome to the forum!![]()
