Just heard this song and the chorus feels like it was made for Eurovision.
Sadly the song is over 3 min and it was released 3 months ago, but I would love to see David competing in the portuguese nf with a similar song.

Well, maybe RTP team was finally able to take him to the competition.
It is a long dream name along with Rodrigo Leão.

Bispo won yesterday the Best Portuguese Act from MTV. It's the most prominent name here.
Currently, Nena, Buba Espinho, and NOBLE are in the top hits with some songs.
Maria Joao is excellent! Probably is going to be a filler in the final, but she has an amazing repertory.
Rita Rocha and Iolanda are promising in the music scene.

I'm curious mostly about what LEFT. is going to bring he doesn't have much work as singer but he produces a lot of music for a lot of artists, he produced Edmundo's song last year for example.

Maria João is a really odd choice for the competition, if the is the one singing it it will be a very avant-garde performance, I kinda doubt that the public will vote for it, but it could go to the final thanks to the judges.

I've listened a bit of each song of these composers and overall I'm not very excited, almost every composer falls in the mid to low tempo range and fafter last year I wanted more variety tempo-wise, still we just know the composers and not the songs nor the singers, so there's still hope.

I've checked No Maka's body of work and at this point they are the wild card as they are just composers and producers no singers, so who they pic to sing their song could really be a stand out this year.
Some examples of previous work:

Of these the two that I kinda would like to see in the nf is La Dianna, a portuguese singer who sings both in portuguese and spanish, and Favela Lacroix, a brasilian drag queen based in Lisbon. If they could the best for eurovision is a question that can't be answered nor does matter at this point, but I think they would had more spice to the competition.

People from Brazil can represent Portugal? I didn't know this, and I don't know who favela lacroix is and I'm from Brazil, but is this true? If it is,if a Brazilian goes to represent Portugal because it lives in Portugal or has a identity to Portugal for example,if the rules allow it,I would be very surprised to see a Brazilian artist on eurovision,It wouldn't change anything,if they send a song I didn't liked, the fact it is a Brazilian artist wouldn't make me like it,but it would be really cool to see,did this happened before?

Basically yes a brazilian national can participate in the portuguese nf and represent Portugal at esc

Currently the selection of composers is done two way, by invitation or by free submission.
Intrestingly this year the portuguese broadcast invited Leo Middea, a brazilian national living in Portugal, as a composer and in the recent past they also invited Malu Magalhães(2018), Tainá(2021) & Blacci(2022) as composers. If I´m not mistaken, "Jasmin", the song that Tainá sang, is first song sang in brazilian portuguese in the history of the nf.
Also it must be said that invited composers have the freedom to invite anyone they want to sing their songs, so, for example, No Maca, that where invited to compete this year, could have invited Favela Lacroix to perform their song.
I don't remmember the rules for free submission, but I think they are open for artists that have portuguese nationality or that just live in Portugal, but I can't think of any artist from the free submission that isn't a portuguese national.

I think it's the list of the weakest composers of recent years.
Very little diversity, it seems like we will have medium to low tempo songs. There is a lack of rock, electronic music and even someone more linked to traditional music...

some hope for Buba Espinho and NOBLE (If you do something strong enough, you could be one of the great candidates, as Neev was a few years ago)

very curious for Huca too, I think it could be one of the surprises

In any case, we still only know the composers, the most important thing will be the songs
