I’ve tried to write
A million other songs but
Somehow I can’t move on, oh you’re gone

Takes time, alright
And I know it’s no one’s fault but
Somehow I can’t move on, oh you’re gone

Saudade
Saudade
Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

Saudade
Saudade
Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

Tem tanto que trago comigo
Foi sempre o meu porto de abrigo
E agora nada faz sentido
Perdi o meu melhor amigo

E se não for demais
Peço por sinais
Resta uma só palavra

Saudade
Saudade
Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

Saudade
Saudade
Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

I’ve tried, alright
But it’s killing me inside
Thought you’d be by my side always

Ok, now let´s move on to the Southwestern end of Europe. :)

The second year in a row :pt: is sending a song mainly in English, this time with a bit of Portuguese, but it really works in my opinion.

The whole performance is transporting the melancholic nature of the song really well, and the clapping sounds in the chorus still give a somehow "light" feeling and prevent it from sounding too depressing. Her voice and the harmonies with the backings also sound really great. xmusic

All in all I give :pt: a strong :8:, as much as the similarly melancholic and great entry from :nl:. I like some other songs a bit more but it´s still a very strong entry and I can see it doing surprisingly well in Turin . xup

About 640k. And peak something like 940k.
On average. It is not an incredible number, but for RTP1 is quite good and way better their usual saturday night numbers.
Apart from that, they want to win Eurovision in the coming future.

So usually RTP1 isn´t a widely watched channel??

Hummmm because it was more intimate. But I didn’t get positive vibes because I think Maro song is extremely sad so I will never get a positive vibe from it.
Not in the final, but on her live performance in the church I felt hapiness in the middle of the song, which I hope she can show in her live performance on may.
While in bereavement you can have moments of feeling hapiness reminding the person that you lost and saudade also means a happy feeling for something you lost.

It's a nice song but kind of boring. 6 points.

Yeah I get what you mean and I agree. Maybe it makes more sense to the staging if it’s not that dark.

Ah, another NF that ended well. "Saudade, saudade" was my second favourite (after Syro - "Ainda nos Temos) so I'm pretty happy with this result. Not exactly what this year's line-up needed after the pile of slow songs, but this one has such a lofi, pensive vibe to it. Lovely.

Changed my score to an :8: after having more time to absorb the lyrics and meaning of the song.

I was reading that the song is about her grandfather who passed away recently.

She was inspired by that when she wrote the song. But I think the lyrics aren't literal and are opened to different meanings of loss.

The song is doing incredibly well with famous people. Some huge influencers and tv stars are sharing her music. xheart
