THE GOOD:
-This is the kind of weird, janky entry I can get into!
-This entry has pretty good vocals, too.
THE BAD:
-Nothing really.
THE VERDICT:
The short version of the verdict: Weird.
The long version: I see what this entry is trying to do, and I am enjoying it. "Sui generis" is a Latin phrase that I just learned. It means "in a class by itself", and it very aptly describes this entry. The only real knock I have on it is that it's not in English, but that's quite alright. Some songs don't need to be in English, and this is one of those songs. The one thing that this song has over other songs is theatricality. I can appreciate that about a song. Overall, Portugal's got a real good thing here. 10 points

Omfg you guys....I was too nervous to watch the results so was following it through here and once the initial results were very promising, I started to lose my sh*t and celebrate
I can't believe Conan has won!!!!
I haven't connected with a song this much since Love Injected from 2015 and I actually see this song as a brother to that one as they both have this amazing, slightly avant garde, other worldly feel that is hard to describe.
I'm just so relieved that the Portuguese jury responded so positively to this song tonight

Not really accessible for the regular viewer. They will see two guys doing some weird dancemoves. Doesn't mean the song isn't good, but it's not a song that will reach a big audience in 3 minutes. This could miss the final. If it qualifies, it wont do as well there as many predict or hope.

I'm not so sure what to think of this. It leaves me kinda cold. It goes to so many different places in the three minutes and yet sth is missing. There are many interesting parts but as soon as I'm getting into one of them a new one starts I think the song suffers of the 3 minute rule. I wish it would be 5-6 minutes and the ideas executed with more patience. Cuz the potential is there for sure. Unfortunately with Eurovision not possible yea :/ What I really like tho is how the intensity builds throughout the song. His voice is not for me, and how many work does the staging need? (A lot)
I appreciate it's presence in the contest. It adds a different flavour, always nice to have sth fresh out of the box.

I think RTP has done one of the bests FdC in the history. It was diverse and it shows they've put a lot of work into it. I'm also extremely happy about our song for 3 years in a row. Who would have know? It's quality! And Conan it's something we have never sent and eurovision never saw. We can finish last place or we can win the whole thing. It's a risk but it's a frinking good risk just like Salvador was.

Still not a fan, I fail to connect to the song but as I convinced myself he would win two weeks ago I'm not too disappointed. It's different, and versatile Eurovision is what I live for.
