http://www.esc-plus.com/europanel-2017-voting-next-nika-kocharov-georgia/ I'm pretty sure RainyWoods just had an aneurysm.

Oh my gosh, is Nika Kocharov of the Young Georgian Lolitaz and he gave his 12 to Portugal.. hold me someonexheat His top 10 is sort of bless. My favourite thing about it is that major shade with the omission of Ukraine's pop rock band. Such bold levels of snubbery that I can forgive him for having a couple of songs there I really dislike. I'm surprised he didn't include Albania and Finland though.

But anyway, that 12xheart It shows that even a rocker can be moved by Salvador's sincerity. This stands up there with other epic point giving moments like Valentina Monetta announcing San Marino's 12 for Love Injected, and the jury from my country awarding The Young Georgian Lolitaz 12 last year.

Salvador said today (in a show where he went with Manel Navarro) that he wanted to say someting important to Europe when he performs in Kiev. A short meaningful statement about the refugee crisis, probably.

Like his song, this could go really good or really bad. The host (Filomena Cautela) playfully begged him not to do it before the voting is over

Knowing Salvador, he isn't too worried about the voting anyway. So if he feels the urge to do it, i'm sure no one will stop him.

Why do you think it will be about the refugees?
.....and I think he should stick to Filomena's advice...One doesn't always need to express one's personal opinions. Some times the time and place is right for it, sometimes not.

No, no, no! Just stay away from it. We choosed him because of music not because of his political statements. If he wants to do it pick an oportune moment. I've been very critical about this subject. It's already enough what we have to endure daily!

I don't know if he will. If Luisa says to not do it he won't.

For example, Salvador during the instrumentals would improvise with sounds and etc but at eurovision he will not do it because his sister asked him too. I don't think she will "alow" him to do such political statements.

And btw, even if he does I don't think it will ruin anything.

I hope Luisa will advise him not to do it. There is a time and a place, and an Eurovision performance really isn't it.
When would he say it anyway? At the end of the performance? There's only a few seconds before the postcard for the next entry begins...maybe he thinks Eurovision is like FdC where they have to fill 2 hours between the songs being performed and the voting results being announced with backstage interviews and other stuff. In Eurovision time for that is really limited.

So we have fresh news for eurovision 2017 AND Fdc 2018!

Luisa Sobral is heading to Kiev right now. A portuguese website (festivaisdacançao) was present and interview her. She has stated that the theme of the performance will be a forest (like we already knew) but she has refused the green lights. She has also stated that from all the propositions that she received from EBU that she always preferred the simple one because she wants all the attentions on her brother.

She also stated that there were some talks about her returning to FdC in 2018 but she won't accept it.
