It's better to keep this song in Portuguese, the lyrics would sound so odd if it's translated directly.

The lyrics sounds sweet and simple to me who only understands Portuguese passively. If you translate it, it will just lose its "foreign" vibe. For instance, "I wanna be yours, I was born to love you" and "I wanna be the light that guides your path" just sounds so plain in English, but in another language it sounds a little more tolerable. That's as honest and as direct as I can be about this.

Regardless, I think the song is nice and sweet xyaay

FC2014: Carlos Coelho pede auditoria ao televoto ~ ESC PORTUGAL | O Site Eurovisivo Português

Andrej Babic will ask for an investigation of the results of FdC 2014. According to him, RTP has told him that in the semi-final, when only one vote per phone was allowed, "Mea Culpa" won and "Quero ser tua" finished only 5th, while in the Final "Quero ser tua" had the double the votes of "Mea Culpa", which would be very strange.

I'm actually on team Susy now, but only if they go with all-Portuguese version xcheer

I was thinking, if there does turn out to be irregular voting. What would happen? Would Portugal be able to switch the song (if the EBU gives consent)? Would Portugal be forced to withdraw from sending a song this year?

EBU doesn't give a single eff about internal voting frauds (I mean they even allowed voting frauds in ESC itself). The only thing they care about is getting the entries in time and that the entries don't break any of the rules for ESC (how they have been chosen and under what circumstances is irrelevant though).

That doesn't really answer my question, of what would actually happen. They couldn't keep the song, There would be an uproar in Portugal and the scandal alone would heavily damage Portugals' chances in the show. If the ebu wouldn't let them change it then they would really have to withdraw?

Only if the broadcaster would decide to withdraw if EBU won't let them change it xshrug

I thought about that too. I think the EBU would let us change to the runner-up, unless it was only proven like a week before the contest

Actually I like Emanuel's music and it companied me throughout my university life, even though I don't know much Portuguese. I know Susy's performance may seem horrible, but I do like the song. I hope Susy will make her performance better. I give 10 pts.

This song is hilarious. I'm delighted to see Portugal back in the contest again but I don't think this was really what they needed to come back with. I think i've found my troll song of the year thoughxrofl2

I'll enjoy this but for all the wrong reasonsxyes

I can't stand this song. However it's better to accept the results and don't come up with the conspiracy theory. Emanuel wouldn't need to buy votes. Portuguese fans should know this would be an esasy win for him. :p The crowd loves him.

The wiki says people were petitioning, there was no mention of anything tangible.

THIS.

If they are sure everything was fair, then why not an (independent) audit to check everything? It's called TRANSPARENCY and Portugal would have a non-suspicious winner. I don't understand why broadcaster never do this when people ask,
