It would make no sense to have this in English ... I mean stop it we have like 95% songs in English already... this is very local sounding so adding English would just be a waste and completely irrational.

You really don't get do you? This is local alright, but it's local garbage and it makes no sense anyway so it's kinda indifferent what they make to it. They can use mouse language for all it's worth. D. Corleone may be loaded, but he he's especially clever so don't expect good decisions from there.
Keep your language cruzade for something more deserving xshrug

Or maybe just Blame it on the disco. Sorry, I had to.

Now into the topic: This is very bad. I'm afraid that after its failure Portugal may withdraw again...

To enter a song like this, portugal might as well withdraw. Nobody should have to go through such an embarrassment.

That's your opinion, regardless what you think about this entry, translating it to English would make no sense... it just doesn't fit the style and whether it's local garbage or not it's still LOCAL!

And it's ALWAYS deserving to preserve as many native languages as possible in ESC, in particular in a year where English-only entries are almost making up 80% of all entries (a Eurovision all-time high for English-only!).

We have reggaeton as well and it is much more elaborated than this.
Pimba bears a basic structure always matching the typicl acordeon sound and the extremely cheap lyrics.

Well I meant if it's considered a disgrace to music  I assume it is
With so many ballads and :es: voting in SF1 you could even make it through!

Yes, it doesn't fit the style or whatever That's why it should be done. It is very important they should do every single thing wrong with this song so that it can eventuallly BOMB big time in the semi. I'm sure they will, so I'm not really worried. i just think English should be the very first step

And they will stuff some english into it, believe me, no matter what you might say or think or do :D

The problem is not pimba. This is not especially good for the genre but it's decent thanks to the instrumentation. It's kinda catchy too.

The real problem here is HOW this won. Actually there isn't a big difference between this, Catarina, Rui or Zana, so I would be ok with this choice. But I just can't stand unfair things and this screams this all the way.

Shades of 'Lambada' every now & then, and a very repetitive chorus!

Sorry Portugal, you've let me down, big time! :(

4 points because of the language!

Omg! Why the hate for this song? I personally love this kind of music. It's pleasant and catchy, not a winner obviously as it doesn't really go anywhere but I prefer it to a lot of other entries I've heard. It sounds like the music that plays in Nandos restaurant.

This is the kind of song that would sound completely stupid in English, don't know what they plan to do

Maybe the lyrics of the English won't be direct translation and they will make them sound less stupid xshrug

What is a direct translation of the song :?
